As a couple, we have a 1 bedroom bungalow with electric heating and no gas. Over the past 2 months our average consumption is 1.50 per day so where do they get their 3.50?
Between December 2012 and July 2013 our average daily consumption was 2.40 so where do they come up with 3.50? In the above we have heating, washing machines, TVs etc operating almost on a daily basis.
The C & CC cannot justify the flat rate charge for electric of 3.50 per pitch per night!

Unfortunately I have kept their place in the country book and thrown all the other paperwork away.  I will try and find pricing online and decide if worth keeping up their membership.

Greetings Again,

With regard to Electricity prices, it is my viewpoint that the Government (through regulation) should force all site providers to install meters over a set period so that, within a period of time, this rip off practise should be eliminated.

I have downloaded the price list and I now have until January to decide whether to keep up membership.  I am a member of both clubs and I might just stay with the caravan club next year.  Age concession only applies outside of high season.

Also suggest they should all be the same 16amp maybe instead of some getting a shock when they blow out the elec. because of what they have on.

I went onto the cc site but as a none member (as yet) I cannot see what they are. Do not want to join without knowing if they are going to do the same hike in their new site book. Wish they had those prices on the web site to know.

Hi Again Beanpark,

I just knew I was too quick in editing my post re Age Reduction.

The Club HAVE reduced the rate for over (fill in the age) from 30% to 25% for next year.

Regards

Even though I am 57 I have never claimed the age concession, not because I am in denial but because I have never thought about it.

They should of picked it up when you showed your membership card when booking in or if over the phone they can see it on their screen so again it should of showed them your entitlement.

Whilst I respect your view that you are not wanting to get involved in Facebook, currently it is the only public means of registering a protest that we know for sure the Club will be watching. I am sure they look in here from time to time but because their Facebook page is their own territory they are duty bound to keep an eye on it. So the more comments the more pressure.

David

The C & CC cannot justify the flat rate charge for electric of 3.50 per pitch per night!

The charge is 3.85, same as this year, with a further 1 supplement next year for a hardstanding pitch.

As you know, this is for the provision of the service, not for the electricity used.
