We had decided not to keep and repair our caravan, other commitments for next year have to come first.

So the van isn't really worth anything as its full of damp BUT if any of you lovely people want a project or spares well come and get it.

Its in brean sands/burnham on sea .

It will be going to scrap yard heaven other wise.

I did notice you were far away. Up to you though.

I'm going up there tomorrow to empty it and get rid so you'll have to be quick.

Why not ebay it ??

Our old Swift got damp last winter when it leaked We found another van we loved so bought that one. We were told we would be lucky to get 100 as scrap for our old van. I put it on ebay starting at 130  and it sold for 465

Yeah, Ebay it if you have the time - just be upfront and honest about whats wrong with it - there will be quite a few folks out there who will be looking for a winter project - especially for a family sized van!!
We'd have gladly taken it, except its just in the wrong part of the country for us at the moment. And you'll get a few quid into the bargain:)

Yep advertised as having damp and that there was a leak from one of the skylights basically said everything that was wrong with it so there could be no come back on me

Winner didn't bother to come to look at it until after he had won it but even then he came and picked it up saying he wanted a project

.......or to sell on to some unsuspecting poor soul....sorry but to every one that 'wants a project' there are half a dozen that are not as honest as you and will sell on without a care.

But at the end of the day you can't be resposible for what others might or might not do.

Very true  I was very surprised that no one actually phoned wanting to view the van there were a few calls asking how bad the damp was or how bad the leak was.

I feel really sorry for first time buyers who are duped on ebay and end up with a wreck of a van hence why I was careful enough to advertise stating has damp etc and would suit person looking for a project.

I mean the van wasn't too bad but it was a 1991 year and had got wet when the skylight started leaking over last winter. Yes I wanted rid of the van but I wanted to make sure who ever bought knew what they were getting

I could do, just wanted rid to be honest.

I got to go there tomorrow toempty it, didn't really want to go up there again but I will take a photo or two and put it on a three day auction maybe.

Unless I see a scrap man on my way and I will see how much he will give me for it.

A shame as you've just had my heaters for it. Perhaps you could offer them to another forum member.
