One role would be primarily office based with duties to include reception and shop, dealing with customer arrivals,bookings and queries. We pride ourselves on outstanding customer service which starts from first contact with our customers either by telephone or face to face and includes showing them to their pitch, answering any queries they may have about the site or the surrounding area. Whilst full training will be provided a basic knowledge of computers would be required.
The other role would when necessary includes the above but is primarily focused outdoors and would be based on the grounds, grass cutting, strimming and general site maintenance, all the 101 little things that can crop up on a busy camp site. We have a large storage compound so the ability to tow caravans into and out of this area onto pitch ready for visitors arrivals would be required.
We would be looking for the ideal couple to join the team later this Summer with a view to carrying forward to the following season
Hours vary according to season but would generally be 35 per week increasing to around 40 during high season. There will be two consecutive days off together each week with free pitch and electricity. The season ends this year on the 4th November

We are looking for a Groundsman/Builder to work as a Park Assistant at Holdens Caravan Park, a 30 acre holiday park containing 500 static caravans, located at Bracklesham, near Chichester, in West Sussex.
The position is initially offered as a 6 month contract, to help us through the summer season from May to October, with the possibility of going permanent for the right person.
The work is varied, but your main duties will include: grass cutting, hedge cutting, strimming, gardening, maintenance and repairs, gas deliveries, trenching, concreting, caravan siting, basic plumbing, basic electrics and some caravan sales.
This is a physical job, requiring someone who is capable, and happy to work outdoors in all weather. Previous caravan park experience is not essential, but we would prefer candidates with a trade or from a building, farming or landscape gardening background as you should already have many relevant skills.
Our men work a 6 day week in the summer (8am - 5.30pm) and a 5 day week in the winter (8am - 5pm).
Free accommodation is available on-site in a second hand static caravan.
You will mainly be based at Holdens, but may be required to travel to some of our other parks should the need arise.
You must have a valid driving licence.

Be under no illusions - whilst a warden position at Thriftwood Holiday Park can be very rewarding and enjoyable, it's certainly "no walk in the park". During busy times, which are often, the job can be extremely demanding and the successful applicants will need to prove they can work under pressure.

The ideal couple will be friendly, flexible, have good DIY skills, computer literate, a ‘can do attitude and suit people who enjoy meeting others and working as part of a small team.
You must own your own caravan or motorhome to live in.

Booking people in and out of caravan /camping site
Taking money, processing Credit Cards checking booking forms, recording, managing bookings to maximise use of the camping caravan areas.
Cleaning toilet & shower facilities and camp kitchen
Our Toilet and Shower blocks and Camp kitchen require to be cleaned daily sometimes twice.
Showing guests to pitches
Providing a warm welcome, information on the site and local area and explaining rules etc.
Other duties around campsite
General maintenance, grounds work, repairs, grass cutting, litter picking & emptying bins.
Site security
Living on site you will provide security when required and be there to make sure noise is kept to a minimum after 10pm
Any other task as required in the smooth running of Mains Farm Wigwams, Camping and Farm
You will be the face of Mains Farm Campsite so we require you to work well under pressure. Be able to work under your own initiative and be prepared to work varied hours. Have a ready smile and be happy to tactfully deal with any problems that come your way. A willingness to learn, initiative, enthusiasm, flexibility and a sense of humour are equally important. A clean, current driving licence is preferred.
You will be required to manage your working week, it is very important this is fully understood. This will require you to work more (7days) in the busy parts of the season (school holidays, bank holidays, etc.) and less during the quieter times bearing in mind that you will be required to work every weekend and Bank Holidays throughout the season. Holiday cover for the owners may be required. We require a commitment to stay for the whole season.
This position would suit a couple without dependents, that are fit, flexible and enthusiastic, with a desire and ability to provide a high standard of service with a positive and welcoming attitude at all times.
