Part time Warden Couple required to be part of our friendly team for our stunning Touring Park, located in South Devon, in the heart of the English Riviera. Galmpton Touring Park is a 122 pitch mix of tourers, motorhomes and tents & benefits from the beautiful views of The River Dart. Located on the edge of the Greenway Estate, the area is a walkers & watersports paradise. This role is a part time role to help us through the busiest period of the season. It would ideally suit a couple looking for a base for the Summer, with the benefit of an income for the hours worked. This is not a full time role, however an element of flexibility would be ideal. Hours would range from between 15 - 35 a week each. A competitive hourly rate is available upon application plus you would be provide with an electric pitch as part of your package.

Couple required to start June 12th 2017 - 10th September 2017.

Job role includes:-

- Reception work, working with a computerised booking system, answering telephone & email enquiries & taking bookings. Our reception includes small park shop and information area where you will be expected to help customers with their needs. Previous experience on all these aspects is preferable but not essential. Applicants must be computer literate, however full training on our booking system & all other areas will be provided.

- Aiding the team with the cleaning of the shower/toilet/laundry block, split over a rota system. Applicants must have a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail and appreciate the importance of this aspect of the role.

- Outdoor work, including pitching customers, dealing with late arrivals, Health & Safety checks, toilet & late night noise/nuisance checks. You would have 2 - 3 nights on duty a week.

- Site/Grounds maintenance, including grass cutting, strimming, aiding caravan movements with our tractor, bin runs & odd jobs.

You should be people who enjoy working with the general public. Flexibility is key in this job role, previous experience in similar roles & a sense of humour are also required!

Hours will vary & increase dramatically during busy periods and high season. You will be expected to work all weekends and bank holidays & be able to cope with the physically demanding aspect of the role, good physical fitness is important.

You will be provided with a pitch with electric as part of your contract, combined with an hourly rate. Salary upon application.

At typical day would consist of:

- Before opening up reception, a walk around the park for a general check.

- Opening reception, replying to emails and any answer machine messages

- Ensuring staff are on the correct job or if they need any materials

- Booking customers in throughout the day

You must be computer literate and speak and write fluent English with a ten year checkable work history. A DBS may be required.

Working knowledge of the leisure industry is a bonus, but not imperative.

You must be physically fit as this can be quite a demanding role, there are always many different things to do.

You would work along side our small hard working team, there may be cleaning/changeovers if a member of staff is off for any reason.

Duties to include:

Basic Accounts, HR-Staff management, Payroll/holiday allowances, Online booking system, Staff training, Reception duties, Staff cover, Shared evenings on call. Promoting group booking, responding to all reviews, website maintenance, and more.

Included in the pay package is a self contained section of our reception bungalow, with garden, parking space and all bills included. The salary will be paid monthly on payroll.

This role will be resident on site working 4/5 days out of 7 including 2/3 on call nights and weekends. . Housekeeping of both toilet/shower/amenity blocks and Glamping pods.

We are looking for a friendly couple to help clean our toilet/shower block and washing up area for 2017.

You would do 5 days a week with 2 days off midweek. The facilities are kept to a very high standard - when it is quiet once of twice a day is enough, but during the school holidays several cleans may be needed a day. There are 6 showers, 6 sinks, 5 toilets, 2 urinals and 2 washing up sinks, so it isn't huge.

This is an unpaid role, but we provide a pitch for your own caravan or motorhome, electric hookup, wifi and the use of our washing machine and dryer. There is a lot to do and see in the area, including the Ironbridge museums.

The minimum period required is early April to early September, but you would be welcome anytime from early February to early December (our opening times).

You will be warmly welcoming guests to our yurts, tent and van pitches, 4 holiday cottages and B & B and providing efficient and exceptional service to help them have a great holiday. You will share our commitment to high standards of cleanliness and work with the team on cleaning and maintenance duties for the camp site and yurts. At least one of you will have practical skills and the ability to resolve basic maintenance issues. Confidence with computers and phone is essential for both as you will share office duties taking bookings and dealing with enquiries/sales in our small shop. Full training will be given.

You must have your own caravan / motorhome to live in on site, GSOH, presentable appearance and cheerful, can do attitude. A reasonable level of fitness is essential to walk and drive 4 x 4 around our hilly site and the role can be physically demanding, moving firewood etc.

There may be occasions when you will need to put your wellies on and give Alphie a hand with farm work. Grass cutting and strimming are part of the on going duties. The bin enclosure and the recycling bins will need to be kept clean and tidy.

Basically we need a hard working couple where the lady has a happy telephone manner, be helpful and welcoming to our customers and reply to emails. She must also be prepared to keep our award winning toilet and shower facilities spic and span and prepare the self catering bungalow for new arrivals throughout the season. The gentleman should also be prepared to clean the gents area of the toilet and shower block and ensure the park is kept clean and tidy as mentioned above.

No previous wardening experience is necessary for this position. We just need a kind, honest, friendly, helpful couple with some knowledge of camping/touring.

A static caravan next to reception will be provided.

The park is in the picturesque village of Devils Bridge some 12 miles inland form the coastal town of Aberystwyth. You will be given plenty of opportunities to explore this beautiful area.

Overview of the Campsite and Bell tent production jobs

Our camping seasons run from April/May to August. The river campsite is off-grid. The positions often are likely to suit a couple or individuals who are comfortable with the general public and out door living.

The primary responsibility of the warden(s) is to enhance the experience of our campers and ensure their wellbeing and that of the campsite. We never ask staff to do anything we have not all done within the core team ourselves. You need to be hardworking, willing to work in sometimes through tough weather conditions have the ability to big deep and keep going.

We pay a sliding scale for different jobs, the bell tent production is job based, the wardening is fixed with extra jobs within the role on a per hour base rate. We do look for relaxed down to earth individuals, with strong senses of humour and people skills.

We will require you to start work on the 1st bank holiday in May and finish no earlier than the last weekend in August. The working days will often stretch from Thursday Bell tent production, Friday campsite production Sat/Sunday wardening, Monday production pack down.

We are looking for a friendly helpful couple with good customer service skills/background, like to see a job through from start to finish and take pride in their work, who are happy to muck in and who are reliable! Practical skills are required with regards to grounds work and maintenance. It would be suited to a couple ideally as on occasion tasks may overlap and may suit if you are looking to explore a different area for the summer and enjoy what the Fens has to offer.
