We are looking for a Park Warden Couple to join our small friendly family team for the 2017 Season.

The successful candidates should be friendly and helpful with a high level of customer care and have the ability to work as part of a committed team. Problem solving and using your own initiative to adapt to each situation are also essential attributes.

The vacancy is for a couple to cover all duties including (but not limited to):

Essential:

Taking, making and processing bookings on our computer system, computer literacy is essential, training will be given.

Grounds maintenance - to include grass cutting, strimming, gardening etc

General maintenance of the holiday park to include basic plumbing and handy man jobs.

Cleaning and monitoring our one toilet block over 5 days.

Evening reception duties over 4 nights to include closing of facilities.

Desirable:

Full driving licence

Willingness to work extra hours cleaning caravans when need.

Previous experience as a campsite warden.

Hours and pay

Working hours vary depending on how busy the Park is and usually range between 30 to 40 hours each per person per week.

Hours worked are paid at the living wage rate. Each couple will work the same days each week with 2 set days off. Work will be expected on weekends, bank holidays and a rota for on call evening/overnight warden duties.

A pitch is supplied for the duration of employment so the successful applicant must bring their own motorhome or touring caravan, where electric and water are also provided.

The position starts in April and lasts until early October. There are no hours available over the winter months.

We are looking for an energetic, flexible, enthusiastic and experienced person to work on our popular and friendly campsite. We offer a good rate of pay, a caravan on site for season [or maybe accommodate yours], laundry facilities and Wi-Fi. No dependants.

During Bank Holiday, high season and weekends we can be extremely busy and at times it will be essential to work 6 days a week including every weekend and all Bank Holidays. In quiet times the hours will be less.

Working Hours 07.15 - 19.15 estimated total 12 working hours a day, sometimes it will be necessary to work beyond these hours. Pay rate £9.50 per hour.

There would be some flexibility in the quiet times of season re days off but in the high season we require 6 working days each week and some occasional later times.

As the campsite promotes environmental awareness we want someone who has a real interest and understanding of environmental issues, re-cycling and the natural world.

The work involves anything that needs doing on site which includes cleaning to a very high standard, some maintenance and repair work, litter picking, grass cutting, gardening, strimming, booking in visitors and seeing them to their pitch during the busy times, ensuring visitors adhere to site rules, helping in the site shop serving customers and general shop maintenance.

It would be an advantage for applicants to have experience using a strimmer and ride on mower but it is not essential as training can be given. It would also be an advantage if the person had some office skills.

These are both full time positions, however, the working hours will vary depending upon the business requirements and will include dealing with late night arrivals, evening safety rounds during the touring season and weekend work.

We are currently looking for a Warden Couple to assist the Park Manager and Wardens in the day to day running of a 5 Star Caravan and Camping site with luxury lodges.

Duties will include: Reception / taking and processing of bookings using an online reservation system, Serving in the on-site shop, maintenance and gardening, cleaning of toilet and shower blocks, camping pods and lodges when required, providing security of the park

Good customer services skills are required and applicants must be able to carry out the practical aspects of the park management that the role requires.

Experience in the camping industry would be an advantage but not essential.

Applicants must be able to cope with the physical nature of the role.

A hard standing caravan pitch is provided with electric and water hooks ups but the successful applicant must have their own caravan or motorhome. Free use of the laundry facilities is also included in the salary package.

We are looking for another Warden Couple to join our family and team of wardens for the 2017 Season.

The successful candidates should be friendly and helpful with a high level of customer care and have the ability to work as part of a committed team. Problem solving and using your own initiative to adapt to each situation are also essential attributes.

The vacancy is for a couple to cover all duties including (but not limited to):

Essential:

Daily cleaning and maintenance of toilet and shower blocks, laundry and outside sinks. This is a physically demanding role, especially in the peak season. In low season this will be approx. 2 hours a day in total, in peak season this could rise to 5 hours a day in total. The hours can be split between a couple or one person can work the total hours.

1 to 3 evenings per week on a rota for evening and night warden duties.

And any other tasks involved in assisting in the day to day running of the Park.

Desirable:

General repairs and maintenance to include basic electrical and plumbing work

Full driving licence

Previous experience as a campsite warden

A least one person within couple should be computer literate to help in reception/shop occasionally when required.

On Call duties

This position is extremely important as we need someone to be on the park over night during the season, however, most of the time this is a fairly straight forward role that requires the successful applicant to be on site, to be called upon via an on call mobile telephone in case of late arrivals or emergencies, however, during the school holidays and busy weekends this will also involve a late at night security/noise check and so requires the right personality able to make good decisions at night to ensure that all is quiet on site and there are no issues etc.

A two-bedroom static holiday home may be provided for the right candidate/s

Main Purpose of Job

Principal Accountabilities

8. Cleaning and oiling all gardening equipment as per manufacturers recommendations.

9. Maintaining all machinery and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.

10. Report all breakages, breakdowns and damage to the General Manager immediately.

11. Filling any Prime health and safety reports as and when directed.

12. To make sure that all staff respect owners accommodations and to leave clean after attending jobs.

13. Ensuring the security and safety of all machinery and equipment at all times.

14. Checking gas and electric usage and requirements as instructed.

15. Communicate plans for upper level improvements to staff.

16. Liaise with General Manager for scheduling repairmen and extra help as needed.

Help is required for reception work, daily booking in from your accommodation after 5.00pm and daily cleaning of our toilet and shower block. We will also require the successful couple to help maintain the overall running and appearance of the park. The park adjoins our sheep farm. There may be occasions when you will need to put your wellies on and give Alphie a hand with farm work. Grass cutting and strimming are part of the on going duties. The bin enclosure and the recycling bins will need to be kept clean and tidy.

Basically we need a hard working couple where the lady has a happy telephone manner, be helpful and welcoming to our customers and reply to emails. She must also be prepared to keep our award winning toilet and shower facilities spic and span and prepare the self catering bungalow for new arrivals throughout the season. The gentleman should also be prepared to clean the gents area of the toilet and shower block and ensure the park is kept clean and tidy as mentioned above.

No previous wardening experience is necessary for this position. We just need a kind, honest, friendly, helpful couple with some knowledge of camping/touring.

A static caravan next to reception will be provided.

Overview of the Campsite and Bell tent production jobs

Our camping seasons run from April/May to August. The river campsite is off-grid. The positions often are likely to suit a couple or individuals who are comfortable with the general public and out door living.

The primary responsibility of the warden(s) is to enhance the experience of our campers and ensure their wellbeing and that of the campsite. We never ask staff to do anything we have not all done within the core team ourselves. You need to be hardworking, willing to work in sometimes through tough weather conditions have the ability to big deep and keep going.

We pay a sliding scale for different jobs, the bell tent production is job based, the wardening is fixed with extra jobs within the role on a per hour base rate. We do look for relaxed down to earth individuals, with strong senses of humour and people skills.

We will require you to start work on the 1st bank holiday in May and finish no earlier than the last weekend in August. The working days will often stretch from Thursday Bell tent production, Friday campsite production Sat/Sunday wardening, Monday production pack down.

We are currently seeking to recruit a seasonal, full time Warden couple to work from early March to the end of October or early September 2017. There is also an opening to work part time during the closed winter season, October/November 2016 to March 2017. If you always fancied being a Warden but were unsure about making the leap, then why not have a taster session first; spend some time here between 22nd and 30th October 2016 to give it a try.

We are looking for people who are practical, active and friendly. Duties include: cleaning; showing customers to their pitch; towing caravans; light maintenance tasks; helping customers; strimming; etc. The work could also involve duties in the Leisure Park; these could range from supervising play equipment to catering, distributing leaflets to promote the Park, working in the entrance kiosk or shop. This is a varied and interesting role which would suit an enthusiastic, reliable couple. A detailed Job Description is included in the application pack.

In addition to the wage, a free electric pitch is included for your touring caravan/motorhome and discounted meals.
