One of the largest dedicated touring caravan and camping parks in the UK, Cayton Village Caravan Park is a busy, 20 acre, 310 pitch park, located 3 miles south of Scarborough on the North Yorkshire coast.

Our season runs from 1st March to 5th November. Over the last 28 years we have developed a reputation as one of the most prestigious parks in the area and are renowned for high standards and for providing an enjoyable, quiet, traditional, family holiday experience.

We are looking for a Park Warden Couple to join our established team for the 2017 season.

The principal duties of the Park Wardens are:

• Reception & Shop duties

• Siting daily and seasonal guests

• Groundwork and gardening together with maintenance and repairs

• Cleaning of Parks Amenity blocks to a high standard.

• Bin runs & Litter picking

• Along with other duties that come with running a park.

Successful candidates should possess the following:

• A creative, practical, positive and ‘can do attitude;

• Physically fit and able to cope with the high demands of the role;

• A clean and current Driving Licence

• A high level of customer care.

• Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

Hours of work:

6 days out of 7, to include weekends and Bank Holidays as well as some on call evenings.

The role would suit applicants without dependents.

Contract:

Immediate start until 19th November 2017

Initially a seasonal contract but may become a permanent role for the right candidates.

Remuneration:

Here at the Nurseries Caravan Park we are looking for a friendly active couple who will work well as a team and who will be flexible and hard-working to help with the smooth running of our family run caravan park.

This position would suit a first time couple as experience is not essential but an understanding of campsite life along with basic computer skills is.

Site duties will include telephone bookings, checking in guests, site supervision, late arrivals, closing the gates, site quiet by 11pm, emergencies, cleaning the facilities and light site maintenance, including grass cutting.

Guaranteed cleaning hours of 15 hours per week @ £7.50 an hour.

All relevant training will be provided as well as uniform.

Hardstand seasonal pitch provided free of charge to the end of October, included in this will be connected water, gas and 16amp electric.

Askham Bryan is situated just 3 miles short of York city centre, with bus services running daily. There will of course be lots of free time to enjoy our park and its surroundings. (Two set days a week which will need to be flexible around busy times)

Applicants are required to deliver excellent customer service coupled with the ability to take a leading role with the bar, kitchen and waiting team. Experience of bar and cellar operations is essential. Other duties include key-holding, stock control, ordering stock, rotas and maintaining hygiene standards. Experience of catering operations including chef/cooking ability and waiting is prerequisite for the role. A current health and hygiene certificate and personal license would be advantageous.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Maintaining the high standards of customer service as set by the General Manager.

2. Delivering Quality leadership and motivational inspiration.

3. Accountable for budget control, including wage cost management, delivering sales targets and stock control, i.e. holding levels, transfer accountability and security.

4. Training and developing the Bar & Catering Team ensuring that skill levels are sufficient to deliver the required standards.

5. Ensure that proactive communication is maintained with your line manager, especially keeping them informed of relevant product cost increases and general activity within your department.

6. Delivering consistently high standards of product and service to our holiday guest.

7. To ensure a high standard of cleanliness within Kitchens, Bar & Customer areas and related amenity environment, storage and product service areas.

8. Supporting and helping colleagues, particularly bar & waiting staff, to deliver an efficient, effective and friendly service to guests and visitors.

9. Ensuring the security of all Company property including stock, equipment, buildings, cash and keys.

10. Maintaining all recording systems as required by the Company and the law.

11. Ensure that stock management procedures are maintained and that stock reports and records are produced accurately, on time and within budget.

12. Refer to additional Notes for Guidance

13. Ensure compliance with your staff handbook and all relevant legislation and Company Policies and Procedures particularly those concerning Health & Safety.

Note: In addition to these functions, the job holder will be expected to perform other such duties as may reasonably be required within the level and scope of the job i.e. Duty Management.
