Our campsite has earned a wonderful reputation as a special place in many people's hearts which is something we treasure. You would be part of a small team and mucking in is an important part of working together. High standards of cleanliness and customer service are expected.

HOURS:

40 - 60 hours per week each (depending on time of season and of course the weather!)

DAYS:

5/6 day week

ACCOMODATION:

You MUST own a motorhome or caravan - please note we cannot offer anyone a position without.

* Electric is provided

* Use of laundry facilities and water free of charge

DATES OF POSITION:

Mid February/beginning of March to mid November

DUTIES:

Please note these are not exclusive

* Weekend and school holidays evening curfew 'walk-rounds'

* Cleaning facilities

* All rental accommodation to be kept clean to a high standard, maintained and rotated. We offer yurt hire, VW campervans and safari tents

* Ground maintenance: grass cutting, strimming etc.

* General up keep of the site - bin area clean/yard swept/flowers watered etc.

* Check-in and out of customer

* Reception and shop work

* Help in the coffee shop and bakery

* Looking after peoples needs as they holiday at Masons

Looking after the public can be demanding; especially in peak season, but it also fun, sociable and extremely rewarding. Please DO NOT underestimate the physicality of this job.

This position is to assist our manager couple. The position is 5 days per week but 6 days during July & August with midweek days off. Includes working weekends and bank holidays. The assistant couple are responsible for the cleaning of our wigwams, tipis and belle tents and ground maintenance and be a friendly face around site. There will be some reception/shop work as and when required and to cover the other wardens days off.

The hours worked will vary over the different times of the year but the same monthly salary paid each month.

The salary range is £1600 to £1800 per couple per month and includes a fully serviced pitch with 16A electric and water, unlimited wifi and a weekly laundry allowance.

The post is a live-in role requiring your own van, and it benefits from a complementary touring caravan pitch for the season.

The role will include a range of duties including manning reception, meeting and greeting customers, checking-in guests, customer care, grass cutting, and general park maintenance. Some cleaning of personal hygiene facilities and any other duties as reasonably required are requested. Working patterns will include evening and week-end work. The warden will be required to complement the existing team of employees, who operate within an ethos of excellence, honesty, and care for the surrounding natural beauty.

Here at the Nurseries Caravan Park we are looking for a friendly active couple who will work well as a team and who will be flexible and hard-working to help with the smooth running of our family run caravan park.

This position would suit a first time couple as experience is not essential but an understanding of campsite life along with basic computer skills is.

Site duties will include telephone bookings, checking in guests, site supervision, late arrivals, closing the gates, site quiet by 11pm, emergencies, cleaning the facilities and light site maintenance, including grass cutting.

Guaranteed cleaning hours of 15 hours per week @ £7.50 an hour.

All relevant training will be provided.

Hardstand seasonal pitch provided free of charge to the end of October, included in this will be connected water, gas and 16amp electric.



Uniform provided.

Askham Bryan is situated just 3 miles short of York city centre, with bus services running daily. There will of course be lots of free time to enjoy our park and its surroundings. (Two set days a week which will need to be flexible around busy times)

Applicants are required to deliver excellent customer service coupled with the ability to take a leading role with the bar, kitchen and waiting team. Principal Accountabilities

8. Supporting and helping colleagues, particularly bar & waiting staff, to deliver an efficient, effective and friendly service to guests and visitors.

9. Ensuring the security of all Company property including stock, equipment, buildings, cash and keys.

10. Maintaining all recording systems as required by the Company and the law.

11. Ensure that stock management procedures are maintained and that stock reports and records are produced accurately, on time and within budget.

12. Refer to additional Notes for Guidance

13. Ensure compliance with your staff handbook and all relevant legislation and Company Policies and Procedures particularly those concerning Health & Safety.
