Site Assistant required for the 2016 season for start immediately until 7 Sept.
Due to bereavement of our additional site assistant, a vacancy has arisen on our beautiful site close to Bellingham. We would welcome applications from a single person for a 36 hour week. The successful applicant(s)will need to be flexible and hardworking to assist in all aspects of site management. We would also welcome applications from couples interested in sharing the full-time post.
Excellent customer service skills and commitment to this type of work are essential. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as we will provide training and support throughout your time with us. Once trained you will be able to run the site in our absence when necessary (together with 2 other assistants).
Your main areas of work, shared with us and the other assistants, are: taking bookings using the Camping & Caravanning Club computer system; managing reception and the site shop; receiving and pitching our guests; cleaning the facilities block; general maintenance and ground work. This is very much a guest-focused role so a cheerful disposition at all times is essential.
The 36 hrs are spread over a 5 day week including weekends and early and late duties. Days off will likely be Weds and Thurs.
For accommodation you will need your own caravan or motorhome as you will be expected to live on-site for the duration of the contact. We will provide you with a free hardstanding pitch with electric supply, free laundry, bottled gas and free WiFi.
On top of this, the hourly salary rate will be £7.25.

Physically fit and able to cope with the high demands of the role;
Driving Licence required by both parties
High level of customer care.
Experience with gardening, landscape and groundwork.
Hours of work:
Low and Semi Season
8.30am - 6pm (1hr break a day)
Mid and High Season 8.30am - 8pm (2hr break a day) 8 weeks
On Call Responsibilities
Flexibility required by all members of the team at all times of the season.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar position or have experience in housekeeping and cleaning duties as this is the main part of the role. We are seeking a friendly, reliable person who is not afraid to be hands on, help build relationships with the caravan owners and offer a feeling of security to the site by monitoring and walking around the park in the evenings.
The position would suit a mature person with no live in dependants or possibly a couple who would like to share the workload and have the benefit of living on the park. The salary is set at £12,000 whether there is one or 2 people sharing this role and the accommodation provided is a very modern 2 bedroomed caravan with DG and CH.
The work is spread over 6 days (including weekends) in the May - September main season and the candidate will need to be on call in the evenings in case of any late arrivals and be the point of contact for any out of hours emergencies.
This unique opportunity includes full time accommodation inclusive of all gas and electrical bills. Although the role is for one person, they may also have a partner live onsite with them and work elsewhere locally but any pets would be subject to the park owners approval.
The role includes a variety of duties which include :
Assisting the existing staff and park owners with duties as and when required.
Checking in any late arrival holidaymakers in the evening.
Looking after all aspects of the twice weekly turnaround of the holiday apartment let, long term apartments and clean/prepare any caravans which come up for sale.
Maintaining and cleaning the touring block shower facilities daily.
Maintaining a presence on the park and doing park rounds every evening for security purposes.

The position is for part of the year and the wardens will be responsible for running all aspects of the family owned caravan and camping site in conjunction with the owners. We provide accommodation in ecosheds and bunkhouses plus pitches for touring caravans and tents. We can cater for 250 units. We are current open from March to October but have the option to remain open longer.
The position will start as soon as possible and run through to at least the end of October, possibly longer if both parties agree. You will be working with other staff and the owners but the right candidates will have a high degree of autonomy. The position entails:
Running Reception - taking bookings through our online booking system, answering emails and telephone calls
. Cleaning of accommodation and communal areas on site as required
General site maintenance, ground keeping and gardening,
Ordering materials needed on site, safety instructions to campers,
pitching clients, walking the site in the evening, meeting and greeting
Other site management activities in conjunction with the owners
Applicants must be in good health and be fit and able to undertake manual tasks. You must be honest, people friendly, hardworking and have a high standard of cleanliness and good customer service skills. You should be willing to learn, enthusiastic and be confident under pressure. At least one of you needs to be computer literate. We are a coastal/rural location so a car would be an advantage for your own benefit though not essential for the job.
Working hours will be varied depending on the season although you will be required to work weekends and Bank Holidays. We do require a commitment to stay for the whole season and for the right people we will be quite willing to look continue the relationship beyond the end of the season.
We can provide accommodation in a static caravan or will provide a pitch for those who wish to bring their own caravan/motorhome. All facilities are included in the salary.
The position offers a set monthly salary of £560 per person based on seasonal annualised hours.
