We are looking for an Assistant Warden or two people who would be willing to split the hours to work on our family run caravan park just outside Edinburgh from 3rd April to 17th September 2017 with possibility of extension pending demand. Average hours per week would be 28 hours; however these hours would be covered over 2 weeks of each month. A pitch with electric hook-up can be provided if required. Would suit individuals with an interest in touring or someone looking to gain experience and exposure in the tourist industry.

Roles/Responsibilities

Answering telephone; responding to voice mails; e mail communication. Taking bookings and uploading onto booking system. Processing payments. Taking customers to pitches and providing advice on local area to tourists. Shop keeping, basic, clerical duties and Customer interaction.Support team in maintaining general tidiness of grounds.Cleaning in amenities block, reception and accommodation as required.

Key Skills - Required

Computer Literate. Must be able to operate basic computer functions including internet and MS office excel; outlook and word.

Communication. Demonstrate Effective verbal communication skills and literacy to enable e mail communication with customer base.

Attention to Detail. Able to spot and rectify issues using own initiative and complete jobs to a high standard without being prompted. Able to focus on different tasks at the same time.

Calm under pressure. During busy times remain calm, collected and polite to customers.

Flexible. Some overtime or flexible working may be required. Possibility of longer hours over the weekends balanced with shorter hours during the week or at quiet times.

Skills - Desirable

Ability to communicate in a European language would be advantageous.

Knowledge, interest and/or experience in the tourist industry, particularly camping/caravanning.

Vacancy: 2017 Seasonal Touring Couple - Applications close 01/03/2017

We are a well-established family park located on the outskirts of Balloch on the southern tip of the beautiful Loch Lomond.

Lomond Woods is a small piece of tranquillity while still within walking distance to the centre of Balloch and all local amenities. The park has very popular touring pitches, a small number of privately owned holiday homes as well as our own hire fleet which includes caravans, lodges and glamping pods.

We are looking for a couple who will look after our touring area, be responsible for the housekeeping of our shower block and family rooms, general tidiness of the touring zones including litter picking and garden maintenance as well as ensuring a high level of customer service for our touring guests and assisting with housekeeping of our Glamping Pods. Part of this role will also require you to be available outwith office hours for late arrivals and any park emergencies.

This position will be available from 1st March 2017 until end of October. As part of this role, a competitive hourly rate will be provided to each person along with an additional rate for nights spent ‘On Call' and a free seasonal touring pitch (touring caravans only) for the period of employment (electric will be chargeable). Hours will be variable, possibility of split shifts to allow plenty of time to explore the local area and generally 2 days off per week.

All levels of experience in this industry welcome, a can do attitude is the key to this role along with flexibility, a love of no 2 days being the same and an ability to deal with the unexpected. Please be aware the seasonal pitch is for a touring caravan only and is not suitable for a motorhome.

Due to the continued success of this family run caravan park we are looking for an enthusiastic, active couple to join our small team for the 2017 season. Employment runs from 1st April - Mid October.

This role will be resident on site working 4/5 days out of 7 including 2/3 on call nights and weekends. Weekly hours are 20-25 per person, this may increase during peak season, hours to be carried out as required by site managers. A seasonal touring pitch with electricity for your caravan/motorhome is included with this position.

The ideal candidates must have a some knowledge in caravanning and understand how a caravan park successfully runs. They must be trustworthy, friendly and have a can do attitude, be able to work under pressure during busy times whilst keeping a professional customer focused manner. Both candidates must have full UK driving licence.

This role will vary day to day and cover a wide range of duties including -

. Reception - welcoming customers, taking bookings over the phone and by email, dealing with enquiries and check ins.

. Housekeeping of both toilet/shower/amenity blocks and Glamping pods.

. Maintenance/groundwork throughout the park, including grass cutting/strimming & general tidy ups keeping the park to it's 5 star standard.

. Assist with the towing/manoeuvring of touring and static holiday homes if required.

. During the on call nights you are required to close the security barrier at 10.30pm and are responsible for the on call phone dealing with any emergencies or issues throughout the night, then reopen barrier at 7am the following morning.
