Vacancy: Seasonal Sites Assistant - Applications close 21/11/2013

We are looking to recruit two seasonal site assistants for the Glenmore Caravan and Campsite. Glenmore is located in the Cairngorms near to Aviemore and has 206 pitches. The site has toilet and shower block and a small reception. The site is popular and can be very busy due to the amount of activities on offer in the surrounding area. Contracts are available from early June through to September. Contracts are for 40 hours per week.

The role of Site Assistant covers a wide range of duties which will include, but is not limited to:

• Working on reception using the computerised booking system, taking payments, checking customers in, answering the phone and dealing with booking queries.

• Cleaning the toilet and shower blocks to ensure they are of a standard that our customers will be happy with.

• Site maintenance and cleanliness, clearing the site of any leaves, branches, snow etc. and repairing any minor damage to the site.

• Dealing with customers, ensuring that they have the best possible experience when staying at the site.

The site is staffed by a small team and your hours and days of work will vary but you will be expected to work early mornings, late evenings and weekends.

We are ideally looking for those with previous experience of working on a campsite and with a passion for the outdoors. As we approach high season we are expecting the site to be busy and previous experience would be invaluable. Due to the location of Glenmore you should be prepared to work outdoors in any weather. We are happy to consider applications from those looking for a career change with an interest in caravanning and camping.

A pitch with an electric hook up will be provided as part of your contract, this is free of charge. A uniform is also provided. You will be required to live on site for the duration of the contract.

The salary is £12,875.20 per annum, pro rata for the length of the contract.

You will assist with all aspects of our holiday park with your key responsibility being cleaning and maintaining the toilet and shower facilities and caravan holiday homes. You will be working approximately 30-40 hours a week each in the summer season, including weekends. Previous experience as wardens or housekeeping experience preferred. Vacancy: Campsite Warden/Cleaner/Maintenance Couple - Applications close 14/07/2013

Mains Farm Wigwams is a Family run caravan, camping and wigwam site in Central Scotland.

We have 19 wooden wigwams and 50 touring pitches for tents, caravans and motor homes.

We are looking for a Warden Couple for our Caravan Park to work during our summer season, starting at the end of March and working through until mid- September

The position requires you to live on site.

Duties include but are not restricted to -

Booking people in and out of caravan /camping site

Taking money, processing Credit Cards checking booking forms, recording, managing bookings to maximise use of the camping caravan areas.

Cleaning toilet & shower facilities and camp kitchen

Our Toilet and Shower blocks and Camp kitchen require to be cleaned daily sometimes twice.

Showing guests to pitches

Providing a warm welcome, information on the site and local area and explaining rules etc.

Other duties around campsite

General maintenance, grounds work, repairs, grass cutting, litter picking & emptying bins.

Site security

Living on site you will provide security when required and be there to make sure noise is kept to a minimum after 10pm

Any other task as required in the smooth running of Mains Farm Wigwams, Camping and Farm

You will be the face of Mains Farm Campsite so we require you to work well under pressure. Be able to work under your own initiative and be prepared to work varied hours. Have a ready smile and be happy to tactfully deal with any problems that come your way. A willingness to learn, initiative, enthusiasm, flexibility and a sense of humour are equally important. A clean, current driving licence is preferred.

You will be required to manage your working week, it is very important this is fully understood. This will require you to work more (7days) in the busy parts of the season (school holidays, bank holidays, etc.) and less during the quieter times bearing in mind that you will be required to work every weekend and Bank Holidays throughout the season. Holiday cover for the owners may be required. We require a commitment to stay for the whole season.

This position would suit a couple without dependents, that are fit, flexible and enthusiastic, with a desire and ability to provide a high standard of service with a positive and welcoming attitude at all times.

Free Pitch for own touring caravan and reasonable use of electric, gas and wifi for the season.

Possibility of extra paid hours cleaning/cafe assistant
