We are looking for a Groundsman/Builder to work as a Park Assistant at Holdens Caravan Park, a 30 acre holiday park containing 500 static caravans, located at Bracklesham, near Chichester, in West Sussex.
The position is initially offered as a 6 month contract, to help us through the summer season from May to October, with the possibility of going permanent for the right person.
The work is varied, but your main duties will include: grass cutting, hedge cutting, strimming, gardening, maintenance and repairs, gas deliveries, trenching, concreting, caravan siting, basic plumbing, basic electrics and some caravan sales.
This is a physical job, requiring someone who is capable, and happy to work outdoors in all weather. Previous caravan park experience is not essential, but we would prefer candidates with a trade or from a building, farming or landscape gardening background as you should already have many relevant skills.
Our men work a 6 day week in the summer (8am - 5.30pm) and a 5 day week in the winter (8am - 5pm).
Free accommodation is available on-site in a second hand static caravan.
You will mainly be based at Holdens, but may be required to travel to some of our other parks should the need arise.
You must have a valid driving licence.

A warden couple are required to assist with the daily operation of Thriftwood Holiday Park. Starting soon through to 2 September 2013.
Must be fit & energetic and have a friendly, happy nature with high standards. BOTH will be fit, enthusiastic team players with outstanding customer service. They'll need a love of the outdoors (come rain or shine) and a strong desire to provide our guests with the best possible holiday experience they can.
Duties include, grounds maintenance & grass cutting, gardening etc.toilet cleaning, and occasionally in reception The owners are present on site, but being able to work under own initiative is essential. We are a small site so everything is run on a relaxed,friendly basis but we do have very high housekeeping standards and our wardens are expected to be vigilant and efficient. Wardens are also required to keep check on the campsite during the night times and attending to any help required at all hours.
Be under no illusions - whilst a warden position at Thriftwood Holiday Park can be very rewarding and enjoyable, it's certainly "no walk in the park". During busy times, which are often, the job can be extremely demanding and the successful applicants will need to prove they can work under pressure.

Would ideally suit a retired couple looking to be away by the sea for a few months. Cleaning is a few hours daily leaving you time to explore the surrounding are. For this you will have a free pitch with electricity. Dogs are welcome.
Must have own caravan/motorhome.
