Vacancy: Campshop/ Tea Room Opportunity - Applications close 18/02/2015
Employer's Name: Woodlands Caravan Park
The Woodlands Caravan Park is a family run park in the beautiful village of Devils Bridge some 12 mile inland from the seaside town of Aberystwyth. Our onsite campshop/gift shop and tea rooms will be available on a new lease for next season (2015). The shop is required to be open from the 1st March to the 31st October, 7 days a week providing breakfasts for campers and passers by and food throughout the day. They also sell gas for the caravan owners and campers, newspapers during the high season, provide a take away service on the weekends during busy periods. They also sell gifts, home made cakes and ice creams. This will entail hard work and commitment to your business. The shop has been run as a very successful business but there is still potential to increase customers as the village shop has now closed. Rent will be reasonable but stock, furniture and fittings will need to be discussed with the current tenants. Our park is well established and we run it in a welcoming friendly manner. Accommodation is not provided. Refernces will be required. Please look at our web site www.woodlandsdevilsbridge.co.uk to see our park details and email us if you require further details or any photos of the business. Decisions will be made by the end of this year so that you have time to prepare the establishment for opening in March.
For very genuine reasons out of any one's control we might have an urgent vacancy for the remainder of this summer season. If you are interested please contact Peter ASAP. This self employed opportunity requires our wardens/hosts to take responsibility for daily cleaning and maintenance of our amenity block, grass cutting and park maintenance and of course booking and siteing visitors. At least one member of the "team" will have to be computer literate. It is important however that you take into consideration that while we have 100 pitches we are not in a extremely busy tourist area and are rarely full other than on bank holidays. Despite the fact that we (I hope) have high standards it is not a "high pressure" job and best suited to those looking for some form of active semi retirement. It follows therefore that there are many days when the time commitment is low on other days it can be quite busy! The park is owned and managed by the Rees family but we all have other commitments but we live on site and are always on site most evenings, week ends, bank holidays etc. We might be looking for a couple to cover the remaining summer months until mid September. You are welcome to visit us if you would like to see the park etc. If you enter "Erwlon Camping" in Google you will find us listed on a number of sites and some e.g. www.ukcampsites.co.uk include reviews of the park which will give you a good idea of what Erwlon is like. As you will see from these review we have had brilliant wardens this year and over recent years and we hope to make new friends for 2014 who will have the option to stay with us for the next few summer seasons. The vacancy has arisen only due to a family crisis, if it resolves itself we will still consider offering any interested party an assistant warden/host role
