Caernarfon is the nearest town situated on the Menai Straights offering great views, but the town is most famous for its majestic Castle built by Edward the 1st which is right in the town centre. Eventhough Caernarfon Castle built by the King of England is a towering figure over the town, you will be greeted by a very Welsh welcome with over 80% of the population Welsh speakers. The Cofis are very welcoming and if your looking for a real Welsh experience and a cultural treat, Caernarfon is the place to be.
