Gijs, Linda and Carlos welcome you to their rural chalet and camping site to experience the warmth and charm of Central Portugal. Camping Redondo is set on the edge of the village of Poço Redondo, with views over the surrounding landscape of vineyards, fruit and olive groves as well as eucalyptus and pine forests.
We are well situated for visits to the historic, World Heritage, City of Tomar where there is a wealth of Knights of the Templar history or if you like nature enjoy the River Zezere where you can swim, canoe, take boat trips, and walks or simply sit and enjoy the splendor. In Portugal you can enjoy the warm climate, hospitable and friendly people and the countryside has a surprise around every corner.
We pride ourselves on providing you with a secure, comfortable, clean and relaxed environment amidst the nature of the central Portuguese countryside, where you can unwind at the swimming pool or explore and enjoy the rich culture and countryside of Portugal. In the evenings in our onsite bar, partake of traditional Portuguese and European dishes or just enjoy some sundowners and chat with our international mix of visitors.

Nearby Attractions
Two main attractions of the area are the historic town of Tomar to the west and River Zezere (and the lake Castelo do Bode) to the east of the camping.
The nearest town of Tomar was founded in 1157 by Gualdim Pais, the first Grand Master of the Knights of the Templar of Portugal. The Convento do Cristo (a World Heritage site) and castle are situated on a steep hill with beautiful views overlooking the town. In the town itself the Praça da Republica, the church of São João Baptista and the countrys oldest synagogue are worth visiting.
Tomar has modern shops, discos, bowling alley, cinema, good restaurants and hotels. There is a daily food market plus a large general market on Fridays. There is ample parking at the market, except on Friday, and in front of the station.

Latitude and Longitude for GPS Systems: North: 39º3732 - West: 8º1920
Coming from the South and East (A23), join the A13/IC3 to Tomar and leave it at km 97, ( Tomar / Cast. Do Bode). At the slip road turn left at the bottom and follow the signs to Junceira. At the junction you will see a large blue and white "Parque de Campismo" sign . From there it is some 2km to Poço Redondo, following the green and white signs and red heart symbols to Camping Redondo.
From the North (Coimbra) leave the A13/IC3 just before km 97 and at the bottom turn right to Junceira. As above.
Coming from the West, the Coast and Fatima you have to go through Tomar following the signs to the A13/IC
