** GROUPS PLEASE! **
The Private Camping service is available all year and we specialise in locating and setting up exclusive camping fields in the Lake District for small groups and family groups - generally between 10 to 30 people.
We will provide and set-up temporary campsite facilities - Fire pits, water, toilets, showers, waste disposal etc etc for the duration of the stay and remove them afterwards ... leaving the field as we found it!
We can provide a weather-proof marquee as a communal area for your group - this is your insurance policy against bad weather! Whatever happens you will be able to get together and enjoy your weekend regardless of what the infamous Lakeland weather decides to throw at you.
For each booking we negotiate with local farmers on your behalf and secure the exclusive use of a field for your Private Camping weekend. The location and type of field we select will depend on what is available and your requirements -
If staying up late around the camp fire is your thing, we will find a remote location for you.
If you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, then we can find a secluded spot in a beautiful location.
"Spreading the cost" - is the key to getting good value from your Private Camping experience. This way a group of friends or family can pool resources for an affordable but exclusive camping experience.
Prices will vary depending on locations and what facilities are required - however, a typical group of 18 people would cost £755 or £41.95 per person for a weekend (2 night) stay. Thats just £20.97 per person per night.
Increase the group size to 25 ... spread the cost ... and pay just £30.20 per person (£15.10 pppn)

Because our Private Camping pitches are in various locations it is not possible to list all the nearby attractions.
However there is plenty to do in the South Lakes area and you're looking for fun day out for the whole group - we can put you in touch with some excellent local group activity / adventure companies.
Directions
We are establishing a network of farmers / landowners throughout the Lake District willing to rent small secluded areas of their land for short-term private camping pitches. At the moment all our locations are in the South Lakes area near to Coniston Water.
We will provide you with the location of your Private Camping field as soon as we have made arrangements with the farmer.
(Sometimes we cannot provide an exact location until a few weeks before the booking date.)
