Eco Camp UK's original Sussex off-grid campsite at Wild Boar Wood offers campers a ‘wild glamping' experience. Campers stay in one of nine fully-equipped, pre-erected bell tents in our five-acre bluebell woodland in West Sussex. The site is off-grid and campfires are allowed.
If you prefer to pitch your own tent please visit our Beech Estate Woodland Campsite where we offer both bell tents and pitches within the woodland - all details on our website

(Midweek from £65 a night)
Our woodland campsite is located in the High Weald, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the heart of Sussex. The bell tents are set apart in the trees giving solitude and privacy from the outside world. The camp is located in West Sussex near Haywards Heath, close to London, Brighton, Lewes and Ashdown Forest. Wild Boar Wood Campsite offers an opportunity to camp side by side with nature, whilst enjoying the comfort of our tents, with beds, cooking equipment, open fire bbq grill and a firewood allocation. Its off-grid camping made easy!
We do prefer to label stays in our fully-equipped bell tents as ‘wild glamping as we have no hair dryers, phone chargers, power points, butler service, silk sheets or hot tubs.
We have permanent wardens who live onsite. Full campsite bookings are also available. The two ‘faraway tents offer a more secluded option, tucked away from the main campsite, for couples and families wanting their own space. Couples may also enjoy the quieter mid-week or Sunday night stays. Please feel free to call or email for advice on dates.
The peace and tranquility is interrupted only by the historic and spectacular Bluebell Railway locomotives as they occasionally thunder past the edge of the woodland campsite!
We operate a small scale quiet, relaxed and laid-back campsite.
Many of our campers spend their time relaxing, exploring the wood, observing the wildlife, building dens and enjoying their campfire. There are lots of great country walks nearby.
The campsite is located in the High Weald - a designated Area of Natural Beauty, just ten minutes from the Ashdown Forest. The stunning Sussex South Downs are also nearby. Three great local Pubs are all within a mile or two of the campsite. Brighton and Hove are 30 minutes away and Lewes is a 20-minute drive away.
The following attractions are all with easy reach by car; Bluebell Railway (10 mins), Ashdown Forest (10 mins), Sheffield Park and Garden (10 mins), High Weald Dairy (1 min), Borde Hill Garden (5 mins). Wakehurst Place is also a great place to visit. Lindfield Golf Club is a few minutes down the road.
Wild Boar Wood is tucked away within a private woodland area. After booking confirmation detailed directions are sent to you.
The five-acre wood is surrounded by a 40-acre field. The Bluebell Railway line runs at the foot of the campsite.
We are about an hour from London and 30 minutes from Brighton.
The nearest village is Horsted Keynes about 1.5 miles away.
Haywards Heath Station is five miles away. Lewes is 11 miles.
