Welcome to Inwood Camping 2017.
Inwood is a fantastic campsite which has got better and better over the last five years. It is the jewel in the crown of the Camping Unplugged World.
With the perfect balance between woodland wonderlands and bright, sunny fields Inwood offers something special for everyone. Not least friendly and responsive site managers who will welcome you to the site, variety and space in which to pitch and a very relaxed no nonsense approach which will make your stay truly memorable.
For 2017 we have upped the ante, the Home Field will become the Base Camp for all our guests, where there will be a well stocked shop, maybe covered seating and our Bushcraft activities.
The facilities are getting a little tired, so we have rebuilt the washing up and have built new eco-friendly loos dotted around the site. We will continue to offer flushing toilets and hot showers at base camp, supplemented with our magical woodland showers where you can shower under the stars.
We never fill all the space at Inwood, so there will always be plenty of choice for where you want to pitch. We do have ten designated pitches of varying sizes, which you can pre-book if you are a group of at least five families.
Site management is very important to us, and we are delighted that Mark and Bruce are back for another year to help you when needed. Campfires and dogs are positively encouraged and there is always wood for sale, as well as our unique campfire grills for hire.
Bushcraft lessons will be available on Saturday mornings provided by Shaun and should be booked through the online booking system.
You are not far from Jane Austen country, she lived in Alton, which is nearby and is a base for walks and tours of Austen country.
Old Basing, which is just the other side of Basingstoke is surprisingly rural, has an historic ruined castle, canal walks and is well worth a visit.
Unsurprisingly you are not very far from a traditional pub. The Queen Inn in Dummer is the closest and is accessible by foot from the campsite through the back field.
While most of our visitors will be trying to get away from it all, Basingstoke is only a couple of miles away and is host to some pretty spectacular shopping malls as well as the Basingstoke Leisure centre which has it all. Ice Skating, Leisure Pool, Bowling to name but a few.
