The Red Shoot Camping Park is situated in one of the most attractive and unspoilt parts of the New Forest. It lies behind the Red Shoot Inn, on three acres of level ground, surrounded by the most magnificent forest scenery. With over 90,000 acres of woodland and heath, the New Forest is the perfect place for the nature lover and an ideal base for walking and touring.
Facilities include a shop which stocks groceries, milk, bread, newspapers,wine, beer, camping equipment and a variety of games, toys and souvenirs. Camping Gaz and Calor Gas are sold on the site.
The toilet block is bright and pleasant, with universal shaver sockets,showers and a hair dryer in the ladies. A disabled toilet is also available.
There is a laundry room, an under cover area for dishwashing (you do need your own washing up bowl) and a children's play area. Dogs are welcome.
Meals are served at the Red Shoot Inn where children are welcome.
Nearby Attractions
Ringwood is five miles away. Seven miles of golden sand at Bournemouth, the priory and town of Christchurch, Lymington with the Isle of Wight ferry, the historic cities of Salisbury and Winchester, and the naval history at Portsmouth may all be reached by car in forty minutes. A little further afield lies the Hardy country around Dorset. Nearer to base there are many forest trails to explore.
Directions
At Ringwood get onto the A338 north towards Salisbury. 2 miles on look for the brown tourist sign on the left directing you to turn right towards the High Corner Inn, Red Shoot Inn and Red Shoot Camping Park.
