Furze Field is situated in the beautiful National Angmering Park, part of the Duke of Norfolk's Estate, Nr. Arundel. We are famous for our amazing walks and is a main link for the South Downs Way.
An open 6 acre field is available for camping, with a further smaller paddock available, in a more wooded area, near to the private stable yard, which is used daily by the owner.
There will be a portaloo available, which will be cleaned and emptied regularly, and a cold water tap.
We believe that people booking at Furze Field will be more interested in staying in a beautiful, open spot, with loads of freedom, and not being crowded, by packing in loads of tents!
The facilities are basic, but for this reason alone, makes the experience far more pleasurable, realising the true 'back to basic', camping !
Camp fires are welcome and wood can be purchased from the stables by prior arrangement.
There are 3 pubs nearby. The Fox, which is right next door, (2 mins walk away) won Spirit FM Pub of The Year 2011, serving excellent food! The Woodmans, an 18th Century Inn, is a 15mins walk, over the fields, and The Worlds End, is also about 15 mins walk, next to Patching Pond. They all serve very good food, and one stays open all day!
The beach is a 15 min drive away and the local village shop, which sells most things, is a 5 min drive away, or 20 min walk.
