Our touring pitches are all lakeside, large & spacious. All are hard standing, most with their own tap. Enjoying fantastic views of both lakes.
The luxury Camping Pod has a secluded setting on your own private peninsular, positioned on the edge of the main lake with a decked patio over the water, with two private fishing pegs. Inside a settee/Double bed, Table & Chairs, Coffee table, Fridge, Microwave, Kettle, Hanging space & shelving. Full length mirror, light fittings, blinds, heater and of course plug sockets.
Outside there are built in seats under the 1m porch with storage. A porch light & decking lights.
Our immaculate Shower/toilet Block is now heated with an outdoor washing up area.
The main lake is 2 acres in size (an old brick pit) with 30 pegs and a new peninsular for you to fish from. Stocked with a mixed variety of fish Well known for its bream, but also include carp, tench, perch, rudd, roach, barbel, pike, Golden Orfe & eels. The nursery lake behind has a mixture of Carp, Tench & Golden Orfe. Making the perfect place for fisherman or if fishing isn't for you enjoy the peaceful, relaxing scenery with beautiful lakeside views, magnificent sunsets & a haven for bird watchers (keep any eye out for the resident barn owl & king fishers). Or simply be entertained with our pet chickens, ducks & geese that wander freely around the site.
A 5 minute stroll in either direction takes you to one of 2 local pubs. The Three Tuns serves food & is dog friendly.
Around the corner is Thorpe Culvert Pumping Station Built in 1938, houses two Ruston and Hornsby 9XHRC diesel engines driving Gwynnes 36″ centrifugal pumps with each pump being capable of delivering some 100 tons, or 22,400 gallons of water per minute Open to the public on certain dates.
2 miles takes you into Wainfleet famous for it's Brewery & with all other amenities Or 7 Miles takes you into the seaside resort of Skegness with many attractions
From Wainfleet take the Wainfleet Road (B1195)to Thorpe St Peter.
You will pass by the Church on your Right Hand side Then turn Left onto Station Road (sign posted for Thorpe Culvert Railway station) Cross over the railway lines then turn Right onto Steeping Road "Grooby's Pit" can be found on the Left hand side
