One of the most stunning sites in the South Downs, and just a few miles from Brighton. Our Shepherds Hut faces the sunset and is a gorgeous camping experience. Own tent pitches and a new Lotus Belle Tent which sleeps up to six adults has just arrived, or easily 2 adults and 4 children. Generous pitches for own tents with space for campfires. Max 30 people on 54 acres. Bronze Age monuments mark the highest points on the farm, with 360 degree views over Sussex. Skylarks sing and other wildlife abounds. Due to the remote location and ancient and narrow access lane we do not accommodate caravans or motorhomes, but limited parking of intrepid cars is possible. We hope you will love this sacred land as much as our other visitors, and even love our eco-loo - which got it's own planning permission!
Nearby Attractions
The Sea and the buzzing city of Brighton...with a million attractions!
Jack and Jill iconic windmills are very close along with the South Downs Way.. Jill is a working mill with her own website and is open most summer Sundays.. tea room too. The walk (via the Jack and Jill pub) is through beautiful old beech woodland and around Wolstonbury Hill. The Royal Oak in Poynings is a lovely friendly country pub a perfect hours walk away, with scrummy food served all day. Then there's the Bull in the historic village of Ditchling, which again is a lovely walk across the downs ridge and taking in Ditchling Beacon (and it's ice cream van). Acres of land around our farm is Open Access owned by the National Trust..
