Beech Estate Woodland Campsite is Eco Camp UKs second Sussex off-grid campsite with our unique ‘wild glamping fully equipped Bell Tents and ‘bring your own tent Forest Tent Pitches for camping, including the two Faraway Tent Pitches. All our Bell Tents and Tent Pitches allow open campfires and are set inside a beautiful woodland area.
Beech Estate Woodland Campsite is located in East Sussex near the historic town of Battle. We offer camping with campfires within an easy distance to London, and close to Brighton, Hastings, Eastbourne, Lewes and the South Coast.
The Campsite is located within the 2000 acre private Beech Estate; which sits in a classified Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB). The Campsite is nestled on the edge of a 600 acre woodland. The woodland offers limitless walks, forest rides perfect for mountain bike riding and areas within the campsites forest for children to make dens and run wild. Campers at the campsite have the exclusive use of the Estates woodlands, as there is no access for the general public.
Our lovely Bell Tents are set in the woods, each complete with its own campfire-pit. The Bell Tents offer our unique off-grid, holiday ‘wild glamping experience and are set apart in the trees giving solitude and privacy from the outside world. Our Bell Tents offer a comfortable hassle free option, to enjoy real off-grid camping in our pre-erected and fully equipped bell tents. The Bell Tents come with a comfortable double bed, additional childrens beds, cooking equipment and tableware, chairs, picnic table, with an open fire, bbq grill and a firewood allocation.
We have a limited number of Tent Pitches for hire for camping. These are set apart in clearings in our beautiful woodland location. For campers wanting to feel very secluded, try the ‘Faraway Tent Pitches which are set on top of a hill looking over Bracken Valley. These are very private, although there is a short additional walk to the toilets and showers.
The best local attraction is the 600-acre woodland - great for bike riding, mountain biking and walking. Kids are free to run wild & make dens.
Nearby attractions include the Battle of Hastings 1066 Country area.
The Historic Town of Battle is within three miles, with its famous Abbey and lots of cafes, shops and pubs.
The seaside Town of Hastings.
There are also a number of great local pubs near Beech Estate Woodland Campsite.
The Battle Golf Club is close by the woodland campsite.

Beech Estate Woodland Campsite is located on B2096 approximately three miles from the Historic Town of Battle in East Sussex.
The campsite is 1.5 hours from London, within a short drive to the South Coast and an hour from Brighton.
The campsite is secluded in the woodlands of the private Beech Estate. Upon booking detailed directions are sent to the campers.
The closest mainline train station is at Battle 3 miles away.
