Hidden Valley is a family run touring park in a beautiful wooded valley, and has gained the Gold David Bellamy Conservation Award, 5 Stars by Visit England, and new for 2011 the AA 5 pennants. In 2009/2010 Hidden Valley won Holiday Park of the Year.
Hidden Valley is set among rolling hills of stunning Devon countryside. Just 4 miles away are some of the countrys most prestigious beaches, including the golden sandy beach at Woolacombe, and The Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe, both of which are Blue Flag and Quality Coast Award winners.
Hidden Valley and North Devon is a must for nature and wildlife lovers. Dragonflies and birds are abundant, while buzzards circle lazily overhead.
Previous keen-eyed guests have spotted kingfishers by the lake, an otter swimming up stream and deer tracks along the woodland path.
As the name suggests, Hidden Valley is tucked away in a glorious wooded valley which has beautiful walks for you to enjoy.
You really do feel like you are in an oasis of calm away from the bustle of life, yet able to access all that North Devon has to offer in a matter of minutes.
Nearby Attractions
The fabulous surfing beach at Croyde Bay is just 5 miles away, while Saunton Sands is just 6 miles, and is a wonderful beach for a day out with the family.
For those that want to relax, the National Trusts Arlington Court and RHS Gardens Rosemoor are both wonderful to visit. There are also many family attractions close by, including the Big Sheep, which is a wonderful all weather attraction, the Dinosaur Adventure park and Exmoor Zoo.
Quaint harbour towns adorn the North Devon coast line, and are a lovely place for afternoon tea, fish & chips or an ice cream.
Ilfracombe with its picturesque harbour is home to, among others, HMS Oldenburg, which sails to Lundy Island several times a week.
Directions
From the M5 take Junction 27 and follow the A361 to Barnstaple. At Barnstaple, continue to follow the A361 signposted to Braunton & Ilfracombe. You will pass through Braunton & the small village Knowle. Hidden Valley is clearly signposted about five miles out of Braunton on the left hand side.
