Our lake and site at St. Aquilin is situated in a valley full of sunflowers and vines and is on the D43 between the medieval market town of St.Astier and Riberac. St Aquilin is a small village served by a restaurant with a small provisions shop, but is only 10 minutes drive to the large hypermarket that is even open on Sunday mornings.
We are a small family site of 6 hectares in a wooded setting and includes a 3 hectare fishing lake. 21 pitches have electric hook-ups and the site is lit up by dusk-to-dawn lighting. Each camping pitch with access to electric hook-up is provided with its own picnic bench. The site is situated in an area that is regularly used by ramblers with numerous routes passing by the entrance.
We also have a twin bedded, ground-floor room with en-suite shower available for 35€ per night, so you can stay with family or friends without going 'under canvas'.
swimming in our heated pool
communal BBQ area
swings and slide for the under 10's
giant outdoor chess
We have a pottery studio workshop/gallery and run short courses where guests will learn skills and techniques working with clay. Come on you own or with a partner and, if your partner is not interested in exploring the world of clay, there is the opportunity to relax with a stroll round the lake or by fishing for trout or carp.

BRANTÔME Known as the "Venice of the Perigord" for its winding river, bridges, and gondolers for hire.
TERRASON-LAVILLEDIEU - the medieval hillside town by the River Vezerer
PERIGUEUX - Capital of the Perigord with cobbled old town and cathedral on the route to Compostella.
AUBERTERRE - attractive hillside town with two churches, one built into a hillside cave.
ST ASTIER - Weekly Thursday market, all around the old medieval town.
RIBERAC - Weekly Friday market, one of the largest in the area.
From the North we suggest you take the D939 toward Perigueux for about 27km. Turn onto D12 for Riberac and carry on to Riberac (Ignore GPS to turn off before Riberac). Go straight through Riberac towards Mussidan and at top of hill turn left onto D43 towards St. Astier. The site is to be found on the right just before St. Aquilin.
From Bordeaux take A89 to St. Astier and take D43 to St. Aquilin, site is 1km past village.
From other directions make your way to St. Astier and D43.
