This multi award-winning site has been run by the Dewhirst family for over 25 years. Surrounding the beautiful 14th century farmhouse are 30 acres of glorious south Devon countryside - quiet and peaceful but a superb centre to explore the many attractions of this wonderful region.
Two luxurious amenity blocks, centrally heated with generous showers, lashings of hot water, individual cubicles and full disabled facilities. Two laundries with the very latest equipment.
119 spacious, level all-weather fully-serviced pitches with fresh and waste water, electricity and TV points, all with individual grass surrounds; 16 grass tent pitches, 6 with electric hook-ups. There is free wi-fi access throughout the site.
The well-stocked shop offers newspapers, fresh bread and croissants from our local baker; milk and cream from the nearby organic farm and bacon from the next village in addition to Calor Gas, caravan and camping accessories, general provisions and souvenirs.
Two adventure play areas, tennis court and games room with pool table and table tennis. A tourist information room bursting with ideas.
Two spacious secure off-lead dog exercise areas.
A Gold David Bellamy site for many years, the site has full recycling facilities and has just installed solar heating to one facilities block. The park is rich in wildlife with areas of long grass for wild flowers and species rich woodland for you to enjoy.
We are ideally placed for exploring the rugged beauty of Dartmoor with its spectacular views, hidden villages, streams and waterfalls. In the other direction are the lively beaches and attractions of Torquay and the English Riviera; Teignmouth, Dawlish and the Exe estuary; Elizabethan Totnes, Dartmouth and the picturesque coves and villages of the South Hams. On a rainy day we are within easy reach of the shops of Exeter and Plymouth, and close to Paignton Zoo, Living Coasts, Kent's Cavern, Babbacombe Model Village, Woodlands Adventure Park, Crealy, Pennywell Farm, Plymouth Aquarium and a host of others. And wherever you are you are never far from a lovely old Devonshire inn where you can join the locals for a drink, a chat and some delicious home cooking.
After the M5 carry on down the dual carriageway and take the left hand fork at the bottom of Telegraph Hill onto the A380 towards Torbay. When you get to the Penn Inn Roundabout turn right onto the A381 and go through Newton Abbot following the signs for Totnes. Two miles outside Newton Abbot you reach the Two Mile Oak Garage on your left and the Two Mile Oak Inn on your right. Turn right by the pub, follow the road down for half a mile to a small crossroads where you will see our sign. Turn left and our entrance is 50 yards down on your right.
