Lemonford is a family run park for touring caravans, motorhomes, R.V's, campers and static caravan holiday hire. We are awarded 4 pennants by the AA and are recommended by the ANWB. The owners live on the park and its is their personal attention to the day to day running of the park and in particular to its cleanliness, that has made Lemonford outstanding for caravan and camping holidays. Children have fun together on the activity frame and swings. A stroll along the banks of the River Lemon, which borders one side of the park, through the meadows, leads you to one of the village pubs which welcomes families. Newton Abbot Sports Centre is three miles away and has squash courts, a gym, saunas and two superb indoor pools with an aquaslide. Golf courses, fishing and horse riding are all close by.
Adjoining reception is the shop which offers a good range of groceries, milk, bread and bottled gas. Newspapers can be ordered on a daily basis. We also have an extensive tourist information area.
Toilets, washing and shower facilities are open at all times and are all included free of charge as are the washing up areas and use of a freezer. There is a useful laundry room with with washing machine, spin dryer, tumble dryer and iron. We do not have a clubhouse or swimming pool.
Nearby Attractions
Dartmoor National Park is right on your doorstep - explore the quaint villages, go rambling, horse riding or just picknicking and having fun beside the streams and rivers. The beaches of Teignmouth, Dawlish, Torbay and the Dartmoor and Salcombe areas are only a short drive away. Exeter, Torquay and Plymouth, with excellent shopping, theatres, museums and leisure centres, are within easy reach.
Directions
From the Exeter Direction. At the end of the M5 motorway continue south along the A38. After two miles the road forks; take the righ hand fork staying on the A38 heading towards Plymouth. After 8 miles leave the A38 at the A382 turn-off (Drumbridges) signposted Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey, Mortonhampstead. This turn-off leads on to a roundabout. Take the third exit off the roundabout signposted Liverton, Ilsington and Bickington. Stay on this road for three miles to Bickington, following the brown caravan & camping signs and at the bottom of the hill the site entrance is on your left.
