A quiet, family touring park nestled on the banks of the River Winnick, run by the Clemo Family - a local Cornish family. The spacious,flat touring park has a selection of hard standing and grass pitches.
The Park boasts brand toilets, showers, disabled shower room and family room with bath for the 2015 season. Along with a large dish washing area and laundry. On the park you will find a well stocked shop with bread, cakes, milk, ice cream and essentials. WiFi is offered across the park, fees apply.
We are very family friendly with a children and toddlers play area, toys and sports equipment to borrow and a large open spaces to enjoy the great outdoors.
Dogs are warmly welcomed on the Park with a wild meadow provided for you to walk your four legged friends.
Ideally located on the edge of the costal village of Pentewan, 3 miles from St Austell to enjoy camping and caravaning in Cornwall. Perfect for exploring Cornwall on foot or bikes with direct access to the Pentewen Cycle Trail that connects to the fishing port of Mevagissey and The Lost Gardens of Heligan, or wander through the King's Wood that hugs the touring park. From the site you can stroll along the trail to the local pub over looking the small harbour of Pentewan.
Pentewan Beach is a short stroll away, we have direct access to The Pentewan Cycle Trail, direct access to The King's Wood and the nearest traditional Cornish pub is a 15 minute walk along a trail or 5 minutes in a car. The Lost Gardens Of Heligan is a 30 minute walk away along a lovely trail or is on the bus route.
The bus collects directly outside the park.
Also easily accessed from the site are: The Eden Project, Cycle Hire, St Austell, Truro,Kidz World, Mevagissey, The St Austell Brewery, the Coastal Path, Fowey, China Clay Country Park, Lappa Valley, Porthpean Beach ideal for rock pooling, and many, many stunning walks.
follow the B3273 towards Mevagissey, Little Winnick is on the left handside just before you get to the village of Pentewan.
By train & bus:
Take the train to St Austell, which is on the main South West line. Exit the train station into the bus station - take the Western Greyhound bus no. 525 and ask the driver to stop at Little Winnick (formerly Penhaven Touring Park). Buses run every hour to and from the site entrance
