White Meadow is gearing up for a great season in 2015 opening on May 1st. Like all our sites White Meadow welcomes open fires and barbeques and you can rent a campfire grill to get the most out of it.

The site has doubled in size since last year and is equipped our standard Portakabin toilets and showers. It also has woodland showers and Event toilets dotted around the site for convenience and easy access. As with all Camping Unplugged sites we do not have fixed pitches, so large family groups are welcome, but please book well in advance so we can reserve you the appropriate space.

Set in open country within the southern part of the New Forest on the Cadland Estate, less than a mile from the beaches of the Solent, White Meadow is a rolling field on the edge of a wooded valley. You can see the Isle of Wight beyond the trees! It is about a mile walk from the sea and beaches at Lepe Country park, though you can drive if you prefer.

White Meadow is our first seaside location, but is still very much a Camping Unplugged site. We think it offers a great opportunity for real camping with campfires and dogs in a lovely setting within an area that offers a wide range of holiday activities and is close to the beach. If you have visited any of John and Nick's other Camping Unplugged sites you will know what to expect, but it is certainly very different to most highly restrictive campsites that are close to the sea.

Nearby Attractions

There are many places close by, beach, heath, woods and wetlands to walk in and explore, both inland or along the beach, and for more structured activities the Calshot Activity Centre is no more than a couple of miles away. In the old seaplane hangers it offers, amongst other things a velodrome, indoor rock climbing and a dry ski slope as well as a fine castle, as well as loads of sailing and other watersports.

The nearest pub is a mile up Lepe Road and offers a great beer garden with play area and a fantastic Thai menu. Friendly low key and we get the impression never over run.

White Meadow is about 25 minutes from the end of the M3. Leave the M3 to join the M27 West signed to Southhampton Docks. Leave the M27 and join the M271 South. The M271 ends at a roundabout. Follow the signs for Fawley on the A326. Then follow Brown Signs to Lepe Country Park and Calshot Castle. Just after the village of Holbury turn right on the roundabout following the signs to Lee Country Park. Go through Blackfields and then Langley (Pub, shops etc) and less than a mile beyond the Pub you will see signs for White Meadow Camping on your right.

The post code SO45 1XR will take you to the right stretch of road just near the site, but not directly to it.
