In 2015 we brought Glamping to The Grove.
For 2016, we have improved this by introducing insulated Yurts.
After the success of the first season of The Grove Glamping in 2015, owner Ruth Graveling, partner of The Grove Cromer, has decided add a bit more luxury. This season we will be offering a range of five and six metre Normadic and Mongolian Yurts. The three Nomadic Yurts are five-metres in diameter and sleep four people.
They are more spacious and robust than the Bell Tents we had in 2015 and are also insulated, which means they will keep the warmth in and cold out, Ruth says. In addition to this, we have two Mongolian Yurts, which have an oak door and the canvas walls surround the wooden lattice window looking up to the stars. These Monoglian Yurts are in two sizes; the five meter yurt will sleep six people and the six meter yurt will sleep eight. Each will be fitted with all your creature comforts, guaranteed to make your stay a home-away-from-home.
Each yurt has a double bed with a proper mattress and duvet - none of your cheap lilos here - as well as bunk beds, a wood burning stove so you can snuggle up and hunker down, low wattage 240-volt electricity courtesy of solar panels (to charge phones and stay in touch with the real world) and each has its own undercover cooking and eating area with gas hobs and, new for 2016, each area will have own charcoal BBQ, if you fancy making your own sizzling sausages or burnt burgers.
Tucked behind the pool, the bell tents have their own washing up area, fire pits with kitchen tripod, hammocks, two toilets, and three showers, as well as benefiting from the short walk through our private woodland path to the award winning Cromer beach.
To make your stay that bit easier and we can provide a variety of hampers, which can be pre-booked including cheese and wine, BBQ or breakfast.
Of course, all the facilities of The Grove are also available to our intrepid Glampers, so you can book one of our superb breakfasts, come in for dinner, swim in the pool then head back to your tent for a cosy nights sleep in ready-made-up beds; getting back to nature in style.
