Set in Forestry Commission woodland, this is a quiet, secluded site with pitching areas in little open glades, ideal for the wildlife observer.
Swaffham is a Georgian market town with a fine Saturday market. The town is also known for being the birthplace of Howard Carter, discoverer of Tutankhamun's tomb and there's a good exhibition about him in the local history museum above the Town Hall.
Both King's Lynn and Norwich have attractive historic centres of note and are within easy driving distance, as is the Norfolk coast with its attractive villages.
This site has 9½ acres of land accommodating 104 pitches, some of which are on hard standing. The hard standing pitches cannot be used with awnings.
There is no toilet block on site, but you will find a motor van waste discharge point and Calor gas bottles are available.
TV signal is fair here. Nearby are shops (2m) and dog walking (please note that ticks can be a problem in the forest).
There are storage pitches available (see warden for details).
Non-members are admitted.
