Many thanks to all our visitors during 2017. The campsite will be closed now through the rest of 2017. We had intended to try to remain open however ground conditions are worsening and we do not wish to damage the pitches.
The campsite re~opens for 2018 at the beginning of April.
Set within Teesdale, our site overlooks the lovely town of Barnard Castle, and provides stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
We offer five pitches for caravans or motorhomes. Each has ELU and a water supply.
Our camping area covers a large part of our ten acre site and offers the oportunity of small groups camping together, with designated fire-pits available for your enjoyment, but remember to be safety minded too.
We are located just off the A66, about 16 miles east of Scotch Corner, easily accessable to both eastbound and westbound traffic.
Please note that unfortunately we are not wheelchair friendly, however we will endeavour to assist your enquiries at all times. Please call with any particular request.
The historic market town of Barnard Castle is a five minute drive.
Richmond is about 20 minutes east.
Reeth, Leyburn, Hawes, and Tan Hill all within a short drive.
There are many local public rights of way to enjoy, and many miles of country roads suitable for cycling.
The campsite is easily found using Google maps, or the app on your phone. Unfortunately due to the larger postcode area a satnav will take you about a half mile further west than our actual position.
From the A1, drive eastbound about 16 miles. As you pass the Organic Farmshop, and the junction for the B6277 to Barnard Castle, the campsite is 0.75 miles on the right, across the carriageway.
Travelling from the west, along the A66, you continue past the junction for the A67, for 2.5 miles. About 100 yards past the junction for Boldron we are on the left.
