Welcome to Thornton's Holt....
We are a family orientated camping park situated in the scattered hamlet of Stragglethorpe, 3 and half miles south east of Nottingham, between the villages of Radcliffe on Trent and Cotgrave.
Many of our visitors like our friendly and farm like atmosphere. You might like to meet our cheeky flock of free-ranging chickens and ducks. Thornton's Holt is also home to our two horses, Eric & Larry, our Border Terrier Pickle, and our three cats that specialise in reception duties.
You are welcome to bring your pets to Thornton's Holt. Remember to keep your dog on a lead at all times.
Our Indoor Heating Swimming Pool was recently refurbished. It is open every day from April to October.
We are committed to continually improving our facilties here at Thornton's Holt. In 2008 we have renovated our children's play area and implemented a recycling scheme.
New for 2008 - THE ANNEX - this is a self contained holiday cottage (sleeps 4). Now you can bring your friends to Thornton's Holt....even if they don't want to camp!
During the winter season (Nov - Mar) we are open with limited facilities, using our hardstanding pitches. The swimming pool, shop and games room are closed.

Just across the road is the Shepherds Pub & Restaurant, which is part of the Pub & Carvery Chain.
Within walking distance from Thornton's Holt is the Cotgrave Country Park & Grantham Canal. It's a great place to tire out kids, dogs & adults. This former colliery site has been extensively redeveloped to create a park with good access for walkers, cyclists, pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Thornton's Holt is a great place to explore the Vale of Belvoir, the Trent Valley and Sherwood Forest. If you prefer the bright lights of the city then hop on the bus into Nottingham for lots of shopping and tourist attractions such as The Tales of Robin Hood, The City of Caves and The Galleries of Justice.

Bus Stop within 100m of the Camping Park - The 'Cotgrave Connection' gives a regular service to the centre of Nottingham. Every 20 minutes at peak times.
