Amidst some of Derbyshire's most beautiful scenery, this secluded family friendly camp site enjoys panoramic views towards Riber Castle from its peaceful position.
Packhorse Farm is situated ½ mile out of Tansley village and is an excellent base from which to explore the Peak District. It is only 2½ miles from Matlock town centre and a 20 minute car ride from Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.
Walking, cycling and horse-riding are available locally. Tansley village has 2 public houses, all of which accept children, and a shop with Post Office.
Our camp site is set within 50 acres on level, well maintained ground and has room for up to 50 tent pitches. Some pitches have electric hook-ups. There is a centrally heated toilet block with hot and cold running water, hair driers and hand driers and free hot showers. There is a separate pot washing area.
Fantastic new facilities for campers at Packhorse Farm were opened in March 2008, including seven showers, six toilets and separate wash cubicles for privacy. Electric sockets provided for hair straighteners and charging mobile phone. Disabled and baby changing facilities also available.
