Beside the tiny and gorgeous seaside village of Kippford, this is one of the most beautiful holiday parks in Dumfries and Galloway (South West Scotland); it offers a really good 'countryside' holiday with wonderful coastal scenery.
Our 60 tent and touring pitches are set in small groups screened by lovely landscaping on different levels with natural terracing, granite outcrops, and mature planting. We have sculptured the ground to provide level pitches in a unique environment. Most pitches have electric hook-ups.
Touring Caravan and Campervan pitches are all level and spacious, set in small groups of up to seven pitches with screening between most. All have electric hook-ups and hardstanding, several are 'Super Pitches' with water and waste connection
Our 3 Toilet Block buildings are heated, there is lashings of hot water. Very clean, many of our clients come back just because of our superb showers (2 of these are full disabled shower/loo/washbasin rooms). The laundrette is well equipped.
We have a nicely stocked shop, open most of the year, however hours are limited every day, so please check these at the time of booking.
FOR HIRE we also offer truly luxurious lodges in 3 ranges, many guests comment that these are the best selection in Scotland (some have Hot Tubs); very nice modern caravans (CH/DG) are also available.
Founder-members of David Bellamy's Conservation Award in Scotland, we have held 'Gold' for over 10 years and lots of Red Squirrel too!
Nearby Attractions
Kippford has two lovely seaside pubs, a sailing goods shop, a yacht club, and a craft shop. The local pottery, golf course, seasonal tearoom and putting green are adjacent to the park.
Dalbeattie Forest (one of the famous ‘Seven Stanes' Mountain Bike Trails) is only 300 metres from the Park offering 17km of world class and of gentle trails.
Our own forest trails link through to lovely coastal walks between Kippford, Rockcliffe and Sandyhills. We have produced our own leaflet to help you enjoy these.
Coarse Fishing is available 2 miles away at Barean Loch in Dalbeattie Forest. Salmon, Trout & Sea Trout can be found in the River Urr flowing through Kippford.
There are wonderful beaches at Kippford and Sandyhills to enjoy, the Mersehead RSPB Reserve is just 10 mins drive away.
Directions
From the Dumfries bypass take the A711 to Dalbeattie, then turn left onto the A710 (signposted for the Colvend Coast).
The Park entrance is on the A710, 3½ miles further along - on the right approximately 200 yards straight past the junction for Kippford village.
