A beautiful campsite on the seaside in North Wales offering a camping and caravan site along with a holiday cottage/bungalow for rent on the Llyn peninsula.
The site adjoins a private beach which is safe for bathing and there is access for boat launching from the concrete slipway.
There are 15 acres of valley grounds, 5 acres of which are sheltered with level pitches.
The facilities block is equipped with showers and shaving points. Hook up points are available. Laundry and dishwashing facilities are available along with a small site shop stocking the essentials during the main holiday season.
The local area has many public footpaths and the site is only twenty minutes from Snowdon.
The surroundings are altogether delightful, with panoramic views and seascape, which lend themselves to a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation and is ideal for children.
Nearby Attractions
There is very good sea and river fishing available locally. The site is at the foot of the mountain (Gyrn Goch) 1,500ft., also near the Yr Eifl mountains which sweep majestically down to the sea. It is adjacent to the Llyn Peninsula and the whole of Snowdonia and in easy reach of all well known resorts in North Wales.
Directions
Approaching from Caernarfon, take the coast road south for 10 miles to the village of Clynnog-Fawr, proceed for a further 1 mile to the hamlet of Gyrn Goch, as you drive through, you will see a farm on the right with a red corrugated shed, by the side of which is a gate, go through the gate and follow the track down to the cattle grid, this is ABERAFON.
