The Quiet Site is a family run site situated in a secluded position amongst the stunning fells that overlook Lake Ullswater.
There are many beautiful walks that you can start from right outside the Quiet Site and numerous activities and attractions a short drive away.
Facilities on the site include: a small well stocked shop, a large childrens adventure playground set in its own field, an extraordinary olde-worlde bar complete with large log fire, a toddlers room with soft play, a games room, 3 family bathrooms, caravan storage etc.
Two interesting and unique holiday cottages are available for weekly rental. The cottages have their own garden with a sunken trampoline and large 2 story playhouse. They have been refurbished with the family in mind. Probably the best family holiday cottages in the Lake District!
A new addition to The Quiet Site is the camping POD, a timber built insulated wooden hut specially designed to be used like a tent but with the advantage of being permanently set up.
Each POD houses up to 2 adults and 2 children. All you need to bring is your camping gear minus the tent!
Perhaps what makes us different from other 5 star parks is our commitment to the enviroment. Our service building is probably the most energy efficent in the country. 70% of our hot water is produced using renewables. We use reed bed technology to clean our grey water before reusing it to flush out WC's.

Directions
Travelling from M6 Junction 40, Take A66 signposted Keswick for 1 mile. Then take A592 signposted Ullswater for 4 miles. Turn right when you see Lake Ullswater in front of you, still on A592 signposted Windermere. After aproximately 1 mile you will see the Brackenrigg Inn on your right - turn right. Follow the road for 1.5 miles. THE QUIET SITE is situated on the RIGHT HAND SIDE. Turn right and book in at the shop.
