The Isle of Wight has been popular since the Iguanodon roamed the earth 120 million years ago. It has history, beaches and is very relaxed. Our Club Site, with its outdoor swimming pool, is a great place for a family holiday. It is divided into smaller areas, giving a small-site feel.
Some pitches are slightly sloping, so chocks are required. A holiday caravan is available to let, to book call 024 7647 5326. Shop, cafe and takeaway on site. Order groceries from the shop by email: www.wp@adgestores.co.uk.
There are two play areas: one for younger children and an extensive area for older children including areas for soccer and basketball. Table Tennis, boules, outdoor chess and Giant Jenga also available.
Free internet access and cycle hire available. Heated outdoor swimming pool (heated June, July, August and first week of September) and children's paddling pool.
Fishing available on site in private carp pool - (chargeable); also fishing on River Yar from 16 June to site closure free of charge. Current Environment Agency rod licence is required before fishing can commence.
Nearby Attractions
Brading Roman Villa is one of the best Romano-British archaeological sites in the country.
Dinosaur Isle is an interactive museum based on the island's history. Visitors can join fossil-hunting expeditions on the beach.
Waltzing Waters is an intriguing indoor water show.
The Steam Railway and Island Line Trains (with London Underground stock) both run on the island.
The Needles at Alum Bay are multi-coloured chalk cliffs. The area is also home to a sweet factory, glassmaker and chairlift.
The sandy beaches and pier at Sandown are close to the site and great for families. The island hosts many special events, including a walking festival in May, a scooter rally in August and a cycling festival in September.
