Perfect for relaxing, Linnhe contrasts wild highland landscapes and stunning loch views with beautiful gardens which have been established over 3 generations on this family owned park. The sunsets are to die for and there have been regular sightings of seals and otters throughout the year as reported on the wildlife notice board in reception. Guests are asked to report wildlife sightings as part of making a diary of wildlife at Linnhe. Winners of a Bellamy Gold Award they are proud of their environmental efforts.
Our heated toilet blocks are very civilised with independantly controlled showers and a nice deep bath in each block. Perfect for when you come in off the hills. Ski-iers and hill walkers alike take advantage of our drying room. We also have a top notch laundry with ironing points.
There is a licenced shop where you can order fresh baked bread. For kids there are 2 play areas a toddlers play room and a shingle beach to explore. Only five miles from fort William, the Outdoor Capital of the UK. It is Graded 4-stars by VisitScotland and has 5 AA pennants. Visit Linnhe's website for full details and photos.
Terraced around Loch Eil we are a great location for sea fishing, try your luck for sea trout, pollock, small cod or mackarel(great on the barbeque). We have our own private slipway free for our guests. Wi-fi is available at certain hotspots around the park.
Nearby Attractions
The scenery - lochs, mountains and glens, all steeped in history. Fort William, the outdoor capital of the UK is only 5 miles away. Admire the magestic Ben Nevis the highest mountain in Britain. Try Ski-ing on Nevis Range, mountain bike tracks, cable car and indoor ice climbing wall are nearby. You can watch the Jacobite steam train (seen in Harry Potter)can be from Old Inverlochy Castle (5 miles away,free entry) which dates back to about the time of William Wallace. The glen where much of Braveheart was filmed is 6 miles away. Or you could just relax on a wildlife cruise and watch the seals.
Directions
Take the A82 to Fort William. From there take the A830 towards Mallaig. Linnhe Lochside Holidays is only 3 miles, on the left 1 mile after passing through Corpach village.
