SAVE ON FUEL COSTS AND PARKING FEES We are the nearest site to Barmouth town centre.
A premier park with all modern amenities and disabled facilities, approximately a level, twenty minutes stroll along promenade to many shops and cafes. 100 metres from safe, sandy, Blue Flag beach. Pets welcome. Excellent base for walking and cycling in north and mid Wales. Near Cycle Route 8 and Wales Coastal Path. There are many lovely mountain and estuary walks in the area, varying in difficulty, please ask at the site office for detailed information.

The Snowdonia National Park is right on the doorstep with the foothills of Cadair Idris just 10 miles away by car. The famous and beautiful Mawddach Estuary stretches from Barmouth to Dolgellau. You can drive down to Dolgellau and back up again to Fairbourne or walk or cycle down the footpath along the old railway line, starting by crossing the famous Barmouth Bridge, from which there are spectacular views of the estuary, an ideal site for bird-watching. Within 10 miles of the caravan park there are two golf courses, sea,river and lake fishing, pony trekking, sailing, Harlech swimming pool, Harlech Castle, Fairbourne Miniature Railway and mountain biking. Further afield there is the famous Portmeirion Italianate Village, Caernarfon Castle and much much more.
Directions
Hendre Mynach Caravan Park can be found ¾ mile north of Barmouth along the A496 on the seaward side. Note that you cant reach us by car by driving along the promenade.
By train: walk along the promenade for about 20 minutes and cross the railway to the site by skate park on the public footpath. Access the site by the gate. Please check in at reception before setting up your tent.
By car: Barmouth is only 2-3 hours drive from the Midlands and Liverpool area, and major roads link the resort from the A55 and M56 in the north on to the A494; the M6 and M54 from the Midlands and A470 from the south.
