Beach safe for swimming/snorkeling with rock pools to explore, the white sandy beach is ideal for sandcastles.
Sit beside your unit/tent & spot the wildlife such as: Cormorants, Seals, various Seagulls, Oystercatchers, Swans, Herons, Sea Otters, Dolphins, Eider Ducks, Shelducks, Whimbrels, Great Northern Diver, Swallows, various Finches, Buzzards etc
Ideal location for island hopping as ferry terminals for Gigha, Islay, Jura & Arran are nearby. Digital TV available in the area
The nearest town of Campbeltown is just 15 miles away. There are 5 golf courses nearby, with a new one just opened. Davaar Island, can be accessed at low tide offering seven caves to explore, one with a painted crucifix
Swimming is possible from any of the sandy beaches around the peninsula, indoor swimming pool in Campbeltown. Walking, sailing and surfing available nearby. Various historical locations throughout Kintyre.
Wildlife in abundance, there is plenty to watch and see, don't forget the camera and binoculars.
Leave the M8 and follow directions to Erskine Bridge, follow the A82 towards Loch Lomond at Tarbet, continue along the A83 through Inveraray, through Lochgilphead, through Tarbert and continue towards Campbeltown. We are 22 miles south of Tarbert (Loch Fyne) and 15 miles north of Campbeltown.
Enter Muasdale village, pass village shop on left, pass the red phone box on left, shortly afterwards on the right is the Touring Park entrance, keep a watch out as this can be obscured by bushes. Holiday Apartments entrance on the left.
