We are 12 miles southwest of Perth and less than an hour from Edinburgh and Glasgow, Aucterarder and Gleneagles lie on the southern side of Perthshire.
From here the Lowlands of Scotland give way to the spectacular scenery of the Highlands. The narrow fields and woodlands of the area lead into nearby Glen Eagles, a name derived from the Gaelic ‘eaglais, meaning church, rather than eagles.
In the area are the magnificent Ochils, a long range of steeply-sided,round-topped hills, stretching 25 miles from the Firth of Tay in the North-east to Stirling in the South-west.
Ben Cleuch is the highest at a staggering 2363 feet.
