This is a small site. Facilities are close by: shower, toilets, washing up room and electric hook up.

We do not take caravans that are over 20ft. (6.00m)shipping length. Large motorhomes please enquire.

CHILDREN and DOGS - are welcome, but animals and machinery can be dangerous so children MUST be CLOSELY supervised at all times. Please advise us if you intend to bring a dog, and dogs should be kept on a lead.
If you bring a TV please ensure that you are covered by your own TV licence.
The small nature of the site means that we are not able to allow campers to have visitors.
We have no play facilities and nowhere on site for riding bikes or playing ball games but children are welcome and can enjoy the quiet countryside and lovely views.
VISIT local waterfalls such as High Force and Cauldron Snout, or market towns like Barnard Castle, Alston and Kirkby Stephen.
WALK on miles of beautiful paths (we are less than a mile from the Pennine Way).
Teesdale is famous for its wild flowers, indeed, Highside Farm is itself rich in flora and has some beautiful hay meadows. Visitors should not wander on the farm unaccompanied but if you ask we are usually able to show you the flowers in our fields.
FISH in the River Tees or on one of the local reservoirs.
TRAVEL throughout Durham, Cumbria and North Yorkshire.
We are situated on the B6276 from Middleton-in-Teesdale to Brough, approximately two miles from Middleton. Link to our website (Top of page) to see full details and a map.
The turn into the site is tight if you approach from the east. If towing a trailer or caravan visitors should pass the farm, swing round in the large lay-by a little further on and approach down hill from the west.
