We are surrounded by farm & woodland Dogs & pets are very welcome We have some day kennels to hire if you require them We have a stunning Dark Sky site so when the clouds are not around the views of the stars are fantastic To keep this we do not have lighting around the site so bring a torch, a small price for such a splendid view
Our toilet and shower block with integral disabled facilities, dish washing room & laundry has won a Platinum 2016 Loo of the Year Award There are 4 showers, 6 toilets and 6 basins per sex and no smelly urinals We are very proud of them It is heated in the winter months
We have WiFi, are Calor agents & also have a small shop, small off licence and laundry In the shop we bake fresh bread to order, have the basic provisions, local cider, scrumpy, beer etc. All of our croissant products and most of the bread are made by Planet Pain, a French company and made in France, baked in our Reception/Shop and NOT sourced from Lidl.
If you are out late at night be aware that we lock the gates at night from 11pm to 7:30 am for additional security There is plenty of space to park in the drive but if you do restrict access to and from the park we will wake you at 7:30 in the morning to move your vehicle
Our information point has a freezer for customers use and a coffee machine that grinds from the bean Local information can be found here including local walks. More can be found on the welcome pack and Dartmoor magazine given to all guests If you want any more ideas of what to do or where to go just ask us.
As we are out in the countryside you do need a directional aerial for your TV, the normal aerial with the pole you push up that is fitted to most modern caravans is OK. We also ask all guests to use environmentally friendly toilet chemicals
Chris and Jan Patrick own and run the site and would welcome the opportunity to be your hosts
