Stratford Racecourse Touring Park is set on the banks of the River Avon, about a mile from the heart of Stratford-on-Avon, home of the 'man of the millennium' - William Shakespeare.
The rural site offers facilities for up to 150 motorhomes/caravans and 50 tents as well as ample space for rallies to be held in the centre of the racecourse. Stratford Racecourse holds National Hunt racing 16 days a year, mainly through the summer months. You may wish to combine the 'sport of kings' with your visit to the area, or you may just want to enjoy the historic county of Warwickshire from a central base with easy access to junction 15 of the M40 and junction 7 of the M5.
Nearby Attractions
Stratford is home to the Shakespeare Trust, which runs the Birthplace of William Shakespeare. Ann Hathaway's Cottage and Mary Arden's House are others in the collection of historic properties. The Royal Shakespeare Theatre heads the cast of threatres in the town. The Teddy Bear Museum and Butterfly Farm are close by. Warwick Castle, Coventry Catherdral and Road Transport Museum, Ragley Hall and the Cotswolds are all within 30 minutes drive. Oxford, Blenheim Palace and Woodstock are about an hour's drive away.
Directions
By road, the Touring Park is approimately 15 minutes from junction 15 of the M40 and 40 minutes from junction 7 of the M5. Situated on the B439 Evesham Road, just over a mile from Stratford-upon-Avon.
