The pretty wool town of Moffat is home to this popular Club Site. A great place to stop off on your way up through Scotland or down to England - or to linger and explore the beauty of the Scottish Lowlands.
Moffat town was home to William Wallace, Robert the Bruce and Air Chief Marshall Lord Hugh Dowding.
It is known for its floral displays and has many specialist shops, including the Moffat Toffee Shop. There is live, traditional Scottish music at the local pub during the summer.
There are many other local events during the year, including a Classic Car rally in June.
The Dawyck Botanic Garden near Peebles is one of the Royal Botanic Gardens of Scotland.
Way-marked trails wind through its collections, which include some of the tallest trees in Britain.

New Lanark World Heritage site includes a beautifully restored 18th century cotton mill.
