This site is managed by the Club on behalf of the Racecourse. You`re pitched within sight of the main stand and with the famous turf before you, and only five minutes walk to the cobbled market town of Thirsk.
The site is mid-way between the A1 and the A19, so it`s a natural overnight stopping point, but don`t leave it at that.
You`re also in Herriot country, between the lovely, rounded Yorkshire Dales and the more dramatic North York Moors, so make the most of both.
This site has 3 acres of land accommodating 60 pitches. Available on site is a toilet block with laundry facilities.
You will also discover a vegetable preparation/dishwashing, dog walking area and Calor gas bottles are available.
TV signal is good here. Nearby there are shops (¾m), dog walking area and public transport.
Non-members and tent campers are admitted.

Directions
From N on A1 - turn off onto B6267 (Ainderby Quernhow, Thirsk); in 2¼m at T-junc turn L onto A61 (sp Thirsk). Site ent on L in 4¼m (just past racecourse buildings).
From S on A1 - leave via slip rd and turn R onto A61 (sp Thirsk). Site ent on L in 7m (just past racecourse buildings).
From A19 - turn off at sp Thirsk Town Centre; foll signs for A61 Ripon. Site on R in 1¼m, 500yds past mini rndabt.
Note: DO NOT approach on A170 via Sutton Bank.
