If you are looking for a quiet hide-away in idyllic surroundings, then look no further. Silver Birches is a small peaceful site (13 pitches, no children under 15) situated in the beautiful surroundings of Snowdonia National Park, approx half way between Caernarfon and Beddgelert.
It is a relaxing base to return to after experiencing all the surrounding area has to offer. Outdoor activities abound - walking (it is just under 2 miles from the Snowdon Ranger path), climbing, biking, watersports, horse riding, etc. Alternatively explore the delights of North Wales by car : there are historic castles, picturesque villages, stunning scenery and numerous beaches (Llandudno, the Lleyn peninsula and Anglesey) all within an hours drive. The delightful Welsh Highland Railway line can be boarded some 400 metres from the site at the request halt of Plas-Y-Nant.
The tariff includes hot showers (we all know how annoying it is when you dont have the correct coins and you need a wash!) Well behaved dogs are welcome. The resident owners are on hand to help make your stay an enjoyable experience.
From A55 leave at junction 10 and take A487 to Caernarfon. At Caernarfon take the A 4085 towards Beddgelert. Silver Birches is 0.2 miles after the sign for Betws Garmon, and just 80 meters on the left after the red telephone box. From A5 at Capel Curig turn left onto the A4086. In approx 4 miles turn left onto the A498 towards Beddgelert. In Beddgelert, where the A498 turns left, go straight on the A4085 towards Caernarfon. In approx 7 miles you will enter Betws Garmon. Silver Birches is on the right, just after the Plas-Y-Coed Hotel
