Bwlchgwyn Farm campsite is a natural site,with breathtaking views over the beautiful Mawddach Estuary,Barmouth Harbour,Snowdonia mountains, Famous west coast sunsets.
Our view just won Captivating Campsites Motorhome and Camping show 2013 photo competition!!
We are a family run sheep farm. Traditional Holiday Cottages & Pony Trekking and Equestrian Centre,with menege/stables.(Bring your own horse on holiday)Chargeable
Walk down to the Mawddach Estuary footpath and connect to Mawddach Trail(seen on T.V) where you can walk/cycle 10 miles reaching Penmaenpool having a cool drink at the George 111 Hotel and on to Dolgellau
Stroll across the wooden footbridge to Barmouth for a relaxing pub lunch on the keyside.
Fairbournes 2 mile sandy (blue flag) beach great for families, swimmers etc,leaving miles of sand & rock pools when the tide goes out.
The Camp/Touring fields are elevated on two natural levels with a much improved access road and level areas for tents/tourers.
First level a Mens & Ladies WC with FREE
showers,washing up area. W/machine & dryer also available (metered)

Join one of our Pony Treks along the Estuary & waters edge to Fairbourne's beach (Non Riders/riders catered for). Walk/cycle the Famous Mawddach Trail(as seen on T.V).Visit Fairbourne's Minature Steam Railway. Barmouth,Dolgellau,Tywyn,Aberdovey are a few miles away whilst Snowdonia National Park spreads out northwards from Bwlch Gwyn.
This beautiful area is a walkers paradise there are many varied local walks where visitors can see the abundance of wild flowers and birds.
From Penrhyn Point catch the Ferry across to Barmouth Harbour and have breakfast/lunch on the keyside and watch the world go by!

Directions
By car: follow the A493 from Dolgellau to Fairbourne.
Just before Fairbourne we are situated of the main A493 road sharp left after the bend but before the garage.
There is a sign before the bend saying Bwlchgwyn.
By Rail:There is a main railway station at Fairbourne which connects for Birmingham New St, Shrewsbury ect we are 1/2 mile from station (collection can be arranged).
