Enjoy sitting around the campfire, watching the flickering flames and listening to the crackling of the open fire whilst toasting some marshmallows.
Dinas is a small, quiet, family friendly campsite, children welcome, and ideal for walkers and those who wish to enjoy the countryside. As a bonus you can relax by your own camp fire.
The campsite covers an area of approx 5 acres with a total of 30 tent pitches mostly on level ground with a few nooks and crannies for you to choose from. No dogs allowed.
The campsite is split into a lower field by the stream and upper field surrounded by oak trees. Each pitch has its own wooden picnic table. Campers usually pitch around the perimeter of the upper field leaving a large open space in the middle for ball games etc. Kids enjoy building dens in the woods, or playing on the tree swings. The country lanes are very quiet and good for cycling.
Facilities include toilet block with free hot showers. Washing up facilities. Wifi (upper field only). Six 6amp electric hook ups; Tumble dryer; Canoe hire on our small private lake.
Glamping Luxury camping, glamorous camping or posh camping Have a go in our pre erected 5 metre glamping bell tent with wood burning stove. The bell tent can comfortably sleep 4 people and has a proper double bed and two single futon beds.
Caravans for hire Sleep up to 6. You have a choice of 2 categories Gold and Gold Extra.
Nearby Attractions
A choice of beautiful unspoilt sandy beaches are less than 15 minutes away. The nearest is approximately three miles away at Llandanwg, Shell Island or Harlech beach where you can join the newly opened Wales Coastal path. There are numerous walks in the Rhinog mountains where you'll hardly meet a soul except for a few sheep and feral goats. Dinas is the only campsite with direct access to the Ardudwy Way long distance trail.
There are plenty of sightseeing opportunities including Harlech Castle overlooking St Davids Golf course, Llechwedd underground slate mines. Portmeirion Italian village and the Ffestiniog narrow gauge railway and the Snowdon mountain railway.
Directions
Llanbedr village is situated between Barmouth and Harlech on the A496 coastal road while Dinas is located 2½ miles inland from the village. Please do not use a sat nav but follow directions below. At the centre of Llanbedr village turn off at the Victoria Inn, follow the signs for Cwm Bychan. After the village of Gwynfryn take the left fork signposted Cwm Bychan. In just over a mile ignore the turning for Harlech and continue towards Cwm Bychan. Approximately 200 meters further along you will see sign for Dinas, continue straight ahead for 200 meters to arrive at Dinas
