Camping de la Bonnette is a very welcoming family campsite on the outskirts of the beautiful medieval village of Caylus. The child and dog friendly parkland campsite is located along the river Bonnette and has 50 pitches on level lawns, surroundded by hedges and shady trees, with plenty of space to soak up the sunshine.
The historic center of Caylus is a 5 minute walk from the campsite, and in the village you will find all the shops, restaurants, bars, as well a market twice a week. The local baker delivers fresh bread to the campsite every morning.
The location is an ideal base for walking, cycling, and car or motorbike tours through this beautiful region with its fantastic hills and river valleys.
Nearby Attractions
Caylus is located in southern France, in the Tarn et Garonne, close to the rivers Aveyron, Lot and Tarn. Not far from places like St Antonin Noble Val, Cordes sur Ciel, Albi, St Cirq Lapopie, Villefranche de Rouergue, Penne, Bruniquel, Najac, Caussade, Montauban and slightly further Toulouse and Cahors. The Chateau de Cas is within walking distance, and the Chateau de reine Margot, in Saint Projet at 10 km. You can see exhibitions at the Abbeye de Beaulieu or visit the Abbaye de Loc Dieu. In short, for lovers of medieval towns and castles, there is plenty to see. You can also visit one of the many vineyards in the area (Chateau Maresque), where you can learn about the process of wine making, and of course taste and buy the wines.
Directions
Coming from the A 20, you take the exit Caussade, and follow the roadsigns for Villefranche de Rouergue. After 20 kms you enter Caylus, and you can follow the signs Camping de la Bonnette
