Our Caravan & Camping site is ideally situated at the gateway to North Yorkshire's famous Dalby Forest, ideal for families or mountain biking enthusiasts. We are located on the Southern slopes of the North York Moors National Park, around 2 miles above the renowned village of Thornton le Dale.
This is an ideal touring base for the Moors and Coastline. You can chose to explore the area on foot, by bike, horseback, car or for the steam enthusiast the North York Moors Railway. The railway runs daily to the ancient fishing town of Whitby, passing the village of Goathland, "Heartbeat country"
Also here on site is "The Granary" holiday cottage, which sleeps 4/6 in a luxurious 4* self catering barn conversion. Details for both can be found on our website. www.dalby-forest.co.uk
The campsite is surrounded with beautiful veiws and woodland, with an abundance of walks, nature trails and fine forests. At the main Dalby Forest Visitor centre there are pinic/BBQ areas and childrens play equipment. Within the forest is the "GO APE" experience, a high wire forest adventure.
The mountain biking within the forest is world class and Dalby has a range of cycle trails from family routes to highly technical demanding routes. Bike Hire can be found at the "BIKE BARN" in Dalby Courtyard.
Our modern toilet/shower facility has disabled rooms and also a wash-up area. Reception office including a laundry is at the entrance. 16 amps hook ups are available. Dogs are welcome on site.
