At Shaw Farm we have 5 Static Caravans available for holidays and short breaks on our working dairy farm in the North Peak District. All the caravans have lovely views over open countryside and are fully equipped for 6 people to tourist board standards. Each also has its own garden and seating area outside with lots of room for parking. Please visit the website for our Static Caravan Park which has details and pictures of each caravan.
A sandpit and swings on site are provided for children and you are welcome to come and watch us milking and see the baby calves close up. Our farm has many footpaths crossing it, one which leads down to the Fox Inn, a small traditional pub which serves some food at lunchtime and in the evening, less than a 10 minute walk away. The 15 minute walk to the top of our farm offers spectacular views of Kinder Scout and the Peak District.
We do not have any facilities for camping or mobile homes
Nearby Attractions
We in an excellent location for exploring the Peak District National Park, the Staffordshire Moorlands, South Yorkshire and Manchester.
Shaw Farm is a mile uphill from New Mills in North Derbyshire. This thriving town has a large selection of local shops and two small supermarkets. The Torrs, a riverside Park in the centre of town is well worth visiting as a special walkway has been built over the river. The town also has good public transport and train connections
New Mills is on the western edge of the Peak District. We are only three miles from Kinder Scout - ideal for hill walking, and the rest of the park lies within an hours drive.
Alternatively Manchester is only half an hour away by train and offers shopping, entertainment and dining for all tastes.
