Clyne Farm is in a spectacular location on one of the seven hills of Swansea Bay overlooking the sea with the Gower Peninsula - Britain's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - as our backyard.
Within 3 miles are the city of Swansea, old fishing village of Mumbles and the start of the sandy Gower beaches famed for walking, surfing, watersports and sunbathing!
Our campsite in 3 small fields surrounded by high grass banks is family orientated - come as a group by all means but respect other visitors at night. Family shower rooms have plenty of hot water and a washroom and cooking area in a converted 19thC railway wagon with solar heated hot water (pray for sun!).
Emergency indoor camping barn if wind or rain prove too much!
Our secluded woodland campsite is great for bushcraft and survival or just to get away from it all!
We also have seven 4 star self catering barns, riding stables and activities incl. indoor climbing, archery and Challenge Valley - the muddiest assault course in the world!!
We are the closest campsite to Swansea, Singleton Park festival site, Liberty Stadium, Mumbles Yacht Club and Mumbles Mostly Jazz and Blues Festival.
3 miles from the main surf teaching beaches, work closely with GSD Surf School and offer Surf and Turf weekends. The Big Camping Weekend is a programme of activities, camping and food.
We have three tipis for hire for groups from 2-22 in size. Free wi-fi in reception
Off site activities and bike hire also available
Gower's famed sandy beaches start 3 miles away and down the road is Blackpill Lido - a great place for younger children to play in and around the shallow pool.
The Wales National Pool is two miles away just past the 9 hole chip and putt golf course. A little further into Swansea is crazy golf and then the LC - a new themed water park which adds to Swansea's big city attractions.
Clyne Farm partner with a number of outdoor providers to offer surf lessons, climbing and abseiling on Gower. Further afield is gorgewalking, quadbiking, paintballing and clay pigeon shooting.
We have recently restored 5 Cwmdonkin Drive - the birthplace and home of Dylan Thomas - to its condition when bought as a new house by the Thomas family in 1914 - and this is available for house tours by appointment
At Jcn 42 of M4 take the A483 signposted Swansea.
Enter Swansea and follow coast road A4067 signposted Mumbles. After 2 miles turn right onto B4436 just after Texaco garage on left and Woodman Inn on right (brown and white tourist signs for Clyne Farm) Follow Horseshoe symbol and take first right after Clyne Gardens into Westport Avenue.
Drive to highest point on Westport Avenue and Clyne Farm sign is on right hand side. Drive between houses, past small cottage and reception is on left of the Gower red farmhouse - after hours your site map and details are left in porch.
