Set virtually in the centre of the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, Trefollwyn is an ideal location for a quiet relaxing break. The site is an ideal base to explore the many attractions Anglesey has to offer and indeed Snowdonia. Trefollwyn is a family run beef and sheep farm, situated about 1.5 miles from the historic market town of Llangefni, in the village of Rhosmeirch, and only 3 miles from the A55 expressway to Holyhead, making it a convenient stop on the way to Ireland. Many of the islands attractions and indeed most beaches can be reached within a 0.25 hour drive. The site is level and grassy with easy access. It overlooks Llyn Cefni (Cefni Lake) where small white fishing boats occasionally cruise silently along the still waters, day permits are available for fishing. Oriel Ynys Mon (Angleseys Heritage Centre) is only 0.5 mile away, next to a public golf course. The Oriel houses amongst others the works of Sir Kyffin Williams and Charles Tunnicliffe. A 4 mile foot/cycle path surrounds Llyn Cefni, which in turn, adjoins the Dingle or Pandy Reserve, a 25 acre ancient magical wooded valley full of wildlife, follow this path and it will take you to Llangefni.
Nearby Attractions
Anglesey boasts many attractions all within easy reach. Glorious beaches, 125 mile costal footpath, a lighthouse a castle, the heritage centre, a copper mountain to mention but a few.
There are numerous and varied eating establishments on the isle. Llangefni hosts many cafes, pubs and a hotel along with several takeaways.
Directions
From the centre of Llangefni follow brown signs for Oriel Mon (Anglesey Heritage Centre) & golf course on B5111. Pass the Oriel to village of Rhosmeirch. On left hand side 0.3m from village and 30mph signs turn left between houses, follow Camping & Caravanning sign down lane for approximately 0.5m.
