There are 25 pitches set in the grounds of the chateau with stunning views across a national park. No cars, just the great outdoors!
Gypsy caravans also for rent. They sleep 4 & are fully equipped with linen & small kitchen.
Amazing hot showers, loos, washing up & fridges are located in the basement of the chateau.
BBQ's are free to use. An undercover area is also available should the heavens open. Cars can be parked in the top field & campers will be met by Ferguson, our faithful old tractor who will transport your belongs to your pitch!
There is no facility for camper vans or caravans.
Enjoy our lovely hot tub or for the more daring - our natural swimming pond.
We cannot accept dogs due to our ducks and chickens that roam freely around the grounds. Bert is handsome chocolate brown, wilful Donkey!
Camping at Monfreville is a unique experience from other campsites in Normandy.The bread fairy delivers every morning with a choice of Baguettes, Croissants, Pain au Raisin etc. Thursday evenings is Moule Frites night with BYO booze! Big Bertha the Pizza oven, cooks your own homemade creations & Sundays, is brilliant whole roast chickens and chips!
We have an honesty shop that sells essentials such as loo roll, washing up liquid, matches, logs, charcoal etc.

Normandy is famous for its apples, making superb cider, apple juice & calvados all of which can be sampled at many local farms in the area. Normandy has fabulous seafood from scallops, lobster, mussels & oysters with perfect french chips and a bottle of cold white wine! Bayeux, is a beautiful town & is home to the Bayeux Tapestry dating back to William the Conqueror. The Norman beaches are steeped in history both ancient & more recent with the second world war invasions playing a major part. Battles dating from 1066 to 1944, explore the museums & memorials and the golden landing beaches.
Explore a little further & visit Suisse Normand, Mont St Michel or Barfleur, the site where William the Conqueror set sail to invade England in 1066.
